Serbian Patriarch Irinej attends the festivity on the occasion of the National Day of Serbia

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić awarded decorations to deserving individuals and institutions on the occasion of the National Day of Serbia. The decorated are meritorious individuals, institutions and associations in the fields of culture, medicine, business, sports, science, diplomacy.

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić congratulated the National Day and emphasized that there is no better day than this to remind ourselves of how little it takes for dreams to come true and that it took only about 300 people gathered in one trench to start liberating the state and win the independence, where the Serbian heroes swore with their blood, thereby striking the foundation of a modern nation.

The Meeting of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the Temple celebrated in the church of Ruzica on Kalemegdan

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch officiated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of Ruzica on 15 February 2020, on the feast of The Meeting of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the Temple.

The Patriarch was concelebrated by protopresbyter-staurophors Dragan Milin, Momcilo Krivokapic, Savo Jovic, Dragan Protic, protodeacon Savo Milin, deacons Vladimir Radovanovic and Srboljub Ubiparovic.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch received His Excellency Sam Fabrici, Ambassador and Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Republic of Serbia at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade on 13 February 2020.

Patriarchal Liturgy in the church of Protection of Our Most Holy Mother of God

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of the Protection of Our Most Holy Lady in Belgrade on 9 February 2020. 

The Patriarch was concelebrated by Archimandrite Joanikije (Djukanic), the aboot of the Saint George monastery in Lestani and the local clergy. 

Ten thousands citizens of Pljevlja in the 18th procession

In Pljevlje on 6 February 2020 for the 18th time there was a prayerful procession of faithful people who express their dissatisfaction and protest over the adoption of the unjust Law on Freedom of Religion, passed late last year in the Parliament of Montenegro.

At first, there was a prayer of supplication in the church of Saint Petka and after that there was a procession, in which ten thousand citizens of Pljevlja led by His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Milesevo walked through the streets of this city on the River Breznica.

Serbian Patriarch receives Secretary General of the World Muslim League

His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej received His Excellency Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade on 6 February 2020.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch welcomed the Secretary-General of the World Muslim League (رابطة العالم الاسلامي , Rabitat al-Alam al-Islami) Sheikh al-Issa at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade with welcoming words, expressing joy over the visit that fosters cooperation between Orthodox Christian and Muslim religious dignitaries.
