On 14 February this year Bishop Teodosije bestowed upon the Italian Army Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Danilo Errico the highest award of the Serbian Orthodox Church - The Medal of the Holy Emperor Constantine (the first Christian Roman Emperor who was born on the territory of today's Serbia).

General Errico as the former KFOR Commander has demonstrated the most sincere respect to the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Serbian people and has given a profound contribution to the reconstruction of our vandalized monasteries, the protection of Peć Patriarchate and Dečani Monastery and has acted as a trusted witness of truth on the post-war suffering of our people in Kosovo and Metohija. Lieutenant General Danilo Errico was honored by the decision of the the Serbian Patriarch Iriney on 23 January upon initiative of Bishop of Raška-Prizren Teodosije.

A beautiful divine Liturgy with guest Deacon Ljubiša Mitrović and our dear Father Dragoslav Kosić. Kumovi/domacini Tode and Christina Cosic and Peter Vucenovic. Guests enjoyed the youth chorus both during Liturgy and at the banquet they had a lovely performance with accompanist Amanda Vlainic Miller on flute and music director Milan Damljanovic on percussion.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, attended the solemn presentation of the mosaic in the dome of the Saint Sava Cathedral in Belgrade’s district of Vracar on 22 February 2018.

Besides His Holiness, the celebration in the Memorial Cathedral of the Serbian people was attended by President of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Aleksandar Vucic, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Mr. Sergey Lavrov, President of the Republic of Srpska Mr. Milorad Dodik, President of the Department of the External Church Relations of the Russian Orthodox Church Metropolitan Ilarion of Volokolamsk, members of the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church, ministers in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, as well as by representatives of the company Gasprom Nyeft which helped the creation and installation of the monumental mosaic in the dome of the Saint Sava Cathedral.

His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, President of the Department for External Church Relations of the Russian Orthodox Church, arrived to Belgrade in the evening of the 22nd February 2018.

The dignitary of the Moscow Patriarchate will participate in a formal presentation of the mosaic painting in the central dome of the Saint Sava Cathedral on Thursday, 22 February 2018.

His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion, who was accompanied by protopresbyter Igor Jakimchuk, Secretary of the Department for External Church Relations of the Russian Orthodox Church (DECR), and hypodeacon Aleksandar Yershov, an associate of this Department, was welcomed at the Belgrade airport by His Grace Bishop Irinej of Backa accompanied by protopresbyter Vitaly Tarasyev, Principal of the Representation of the Moscow Patriarchate in Belgrade, Archimandrite Stefan (Saric), Deputy Principal of the Saint Sava Cathedral, and Deacon Aleksandar Prascevic, General Secretary of the Office of the Serbian Patriarch.

The feast day of the Meeting of the Lord, the second day of the Sts. Sebastian and Mardarije Orthodox Institute began with the Holy Hiearchical Divine Liturgy.

Officiating at the Divine Liturgy was His Grace Bishop Maxim of Western America with the con-celebration of Bishop Irinej of Eastern America and Bishop Kirilo of Dioclea, twenty-six priests and six deacons.
