On 28 October 2017 the Missionary Parish of Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos welcomed its Bishop, who celebrated the Divine Liturgy and participated in an agape feast.

With the blessing of a competent Diocesan Bishop and cordial hospitality of the principal of the Cathedral church of Sts. Constantine and Helen – protopresbyter-staurophor Nicolaos Bakalis, a great friend of the Serbian people in Virginia, the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy was officiated in that church. Parishioners from various parts of Virginia – Richmond, Charlottesville, Newport News, Virginia Beach… participated in the prayer with their Bishop.

The Feast of St. Paraskeva was celebrated joyfully at Saint Sava in St. Petersburg, FL. The celebration began with lighted vigil lamps and wise girls just as the Gospel reading suggests. For the members of the Circle of Serbian Sisters, their constant concern is to faithfully follow the example of the saints and seek unity in our Lord Jesus Christ.

On October 29, 2017, the 21st Sunday after Pentecost, the feast of Martyr Longinus the Centurion who stood at the Cross of the Lord, the faithful and Christ-loving Orthodox people of the St. Petka Serbian Church in San Marcos festively and prayerfully celebrated their altar feast, their Church Slava of the Venerable Mother Paraskeva, St. Petka.

His Holiness Irinej and the Chief of General Staff of Serbia General Ljubia Dikovic visited the Saint Sava Cathedral in Vracar District of Belgrade on 30 October 2017.

The Chief of  General Staff of the Armed Forces of Serbia General Ljubisa Dikovic and members of the extended collegium of the General Staff were welcomed by Patriarch Irinej, accompanied by the principal of the Cathedral Archimandrite Stefan Saric and clergy in front of the Saint Sava Cathedral.

On Saturday October 21, 2017 St. Stefan of Decani, Serbian Orthodox Church in Columbus organized a Youth Day. All the activities were oriented and focused on youth in the parish. Church School teachers: protinica Dejana Kisin, Katarina Sanchez and Katy Maragos with Fr. Isak Kisin always plan and organize fun and educational activities for this special event dedicated to the children and youth at St. Stefan Church. The professional basketball players Nikola Jestratijevic and Velimir Radinovic contributed their time and talents to make this event even more fun and interesting by teaching basketball lessons. Day activities continued with tree planting, hayrides, bonfire and kolo dancing. To support this event the adults prepared a great variety of food for all participants. Beautiful nature at St. Stefan Church combined with a very pleasant weather provided the prefect setting for this event.

On October 24 / 2017, St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church in Philadelphia hosted the Hawaiian Myrrh- streaming Iveron icon of the Most Holy Theotokos . The faithful, from multiple Orthodox jurisdictions in the Philadelphia area, filled the church to celebrate the Supplicatory Canon to the Mother of God. The Canon was served by Fr. Nicholas Dellerman (Sts. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church (OCA), Phildelphia), Fr. Martin Browne (St. Mark Orthodox Church (OCA), Newtown), Archmandrite Christopher (St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church, Broomall) Fr. Joel Gillam (St. George Anitochean Orthodox Churvh, Upper Darby), Fr. James Thayer (St. Philip Orthodox Church, Souderton) and Fr. Milorad Orlic.
