Hierarchal Liturgy in Saint George Monastery in Celije

On June 16, 2021, when the Church celebrates the Holy Martyr Lucillian and others with him, His Grace Bishop Jovan of Sumadija served the Divine Liturgy in the monastery of St. George in Celije near Lajkovac.

The Bishop was concelebrated by abbot of Pinosava Monastery Archimandrite Petar, abbot of Celije Monastery Dositej of Chilandar, guests from the Valjevo Diocese protopresbyter-staurophor Tomislav Cvetinovic and protonamesnik Zoran Markovic, Diocesan Deputy of Kolubara, Posavina protopresbyter-staurophor Zlatko Dimitrijevc, protopresbyter-staurophor MIroslav Filipovic, hieromonk Serafim from the Tresije Monastery, protonamesnik Bojan Colovic, protodeacon Ivan Gasic and deacon Nikola Urosevic.

Serbian Patriarch received OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch received His Excellency Kairat Abdrakhmanov, OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities at the Patriarchal Palace in Belgrade, on 16 June 2021.

The Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church thanked High Commissioner Abdrakhmanov for the visit, trust and attention he paid to the position and status of national minorities in the Republic of Serbia. "The church is essentially committed to dialogue. If one of our goals is the coexistence of members of different churches and religious communities, then it is necessary for us to know each other, and in order to get to know each other, we need a dialogue, "Patriarch Porfirije emphasized.

20 years since the death of Bishop Sava (Vukovic)

On 17 June 2021 it is 20 years since the demise of Bishop Sava (Vukovic) of Sumadija.

On this occasion, His Grace Bishop Lukijan of Buda, the Administrator of Timisoara celebrated in Temisoara's Cathedral church the commemoration to his spiritual father and teacher, Bishop Sava of blessed repose, who was also Administrator of the Diocese of Timisoara for many years.

Bishop Maxim Visits Saratoga

Bishop Maxim, visited on Sunday, June 13th the Holy Archangel Michael parish in Saratoga, CA. His Grace was welcomed by the parishioners and the beautiful voices of the parish choir and served the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy in the spacious church hall. The Saratoga parish is serving in the church hall during the pandemic in order to keep the attendees safe. Very Rev. Stavrophor Vasilije Cvijanovic from Moraga as the newly appointed Dean of the San Francisco Deanery and V. Rev. Vidoslav Vujasin concelebrated together with His Grace.

Central celebration of the jubilee of the monastery Prohor Pcinjski

On the occasion of 950 years since the foundation of the Monastery of Prohor Pcinjski and 700 years since the demise of Holy King Milutin the Diocese of Vranje organized a three-day working and solemn celebration under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Aleksandar Vucic, from 12-14 June 2021.

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of Metropolitan John of Belgorod from the Russian Orthodox Church and fifteen hierarchs of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the Monastery of Prohor Pcinjski on 13 June 2021.

Bishop Irinej visits Holy Ascension Parish in Elizabeth

On Thursday, June 10, 2021, the Great Feast of the Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Grace Bishop Irinej of Eastern America celebrated the Hierarchal Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom in the parish church of the Holy Ascension in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Concelebrating with His Grace were Very Reverend Protopresbyter Aleksa Micich, parish priest, and Protodeacon Milos Zdralic.
