Audiences at Serbian Patriarchate - 18 March 2014

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, received Mr. Tomislav Jovanovic, Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development at the Serbian Patriarchate today, on 18 March 2014. 

The same day Serbian Patriarch Irinej recieved Mr. Milovan Bjelica, president of the Municipality of  Sokolac with associates.

Memorial service for victims of March Pogrom

Marking of the 10^th anniversary of the March Pogrom began with the memorial service which was served by His Grace Teodosije of Raska-Prizren in the church of Saint Nicholas in Pristina yesterday, on 17 March 2014.

After the memorial service for the Pogrom victims Bishop Teodosije also reminded of the suffered Orthodox churches, Serbian homes and the expulsion of more than 4000 Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija.

Audience at the Serbian Patriarchate - 14 March 2014

His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej received Professor Dr. Dragan Vukanic, State Secretary at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia today, on March 14th, 2014. 

The audience was held in the presence of protopresbyter-stavrophor Dragan Pavlovic and presbyter Ivan Strbacki, parish priests of the church of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist at the Central cemetary in Belgrade.

Audiences at the Serbian Patriarchate - 12 March 2014

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, received Mr. Gela Valiyev, Director of the international company Roslav at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade on 12 March 2014. Mr. Valiyev was accompanied by Mr. Zahariy Valiyev, priest Aleksandar Obradovic, dean of the church of Sts. Cyrril and Methodius in Ljubljana, as well as f. Dejan Mandic, parish priest of Ljubljana.

The representatives of the company Roslav, already known for their engagement in aiding the Serbian Orthodox Church in Slovenia, on this occasion asked him for a blessing for a further engagement of their company in this region. They also asked His Holiness to bless their intention to help, within their capabilities, the restoration of the Patriarchal residence in Belgrade. 

Sunday of Orthodoxy marked in Sidney

The Sunday of Orthodoxy also this year was solemnly marked in Sidney with Inter-Orthodox concelebration of the Sunday vesper service at the Greek church of Saint Nicholas in Marrickville.

His Eminence Archbishop Stylianos of Australia (Ecumenical Patriarchate) officiated, while Bishop Irinej of the Metropolitanate of Australia and New Zealand (Serbian Orthodox Church) and Vicar Bishop Seraphim of Apolonia (Ecumenical Patriarchate) and lots of priests of the Ecumenical, Serbian and Antiochian Patriarchate concelebrated to the Archbishop. The church of Saint Nicholas in Marrickville, one of the greatest churches in Sidney, was filled with faithful people of different nations and languages, but of the common faith.
