Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God in Strmica celebrated hundred years of its existence 

On the feast day of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God the church patronal feast day in Strmica. This year the church celebrates centennial since the construction and consecration. Bishop Fotije of Dalmatia served the Holy Hiearchal Liturgy with the concelebration of local priests and monks of the diocese of Dalmatia and Bihac-Petrovac. After the Holy Liturgy, blessing the slava wheat, cutting the slava cake and the procession around the holy church, a cultural and art program was held. Bishop Fotije talked on this occasion about the feast day, preservation of the faith and identity of the Serbian people in Dalmatia, and thanked all who had helped and still help the restoration of the sanctities of Strmica.

Sremska Mitrovica: acquiring rights of the free practice of religion

In the ancient city of Sirmium, today’s Sremska Mitrovica, 17 centuries since acquiring rights of free practice of religion was commemorated.  His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, along with Their Graces Bishops: Vasilije of Srem, Irinej of Backa and Lukijan of Osek-Polje, celebrated the Divine Hierarchal Liturgy. The clergy of the Diocese of Srem and the Archdiocese of Belgrade-Karlovac concelebrated.

 Church of the Nativity of Most Holy Mother of God in Zemun, which is among the oldest churches of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac celebrated its Patron feast-day.

With the blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, His Grace Bishop Andrej of Remesiana held the Holy Liturgy with the concelebration of eight presbyters and two deacons.

The Serbian Orthodox Monastery in New Carlisle, Indiana celebrated their Slava - Birth of the Most Holy Theotokos - on September 21, 2013.  The celebration started with a vigil on the eve of the feast.  It was crowned with the Divine liturgy and fellowship.  Two bishops, monastics, multitudes of faithful – whoever was present was overwhelmed with joy and gratitude.  Glory to God for all things – Most Holy Theotokos pray to God for us.

New church shop opened at the Terazije Square in Belgrade

The rite  of consecration of the Patriarchal shop today on 19 September 2013 was performed by His Holiness Irinej

By reminding everyone that nothing cannot be done without a prayer, His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, began  the  rite of consecration of the Patriarchal shop at the  Terazije Square. The clergy of the Archdiocese of Belgrade-Karlovac concelebrated. The choir of pupils of the Seminary “Saint Sava” in Belgrade sang responses.
