Monastery of Cetinje and Seminary of Saint Peter of Cetinje solemnly and prayerfully celebrate its patron

The monastery of Cetinje and the Seminary of Saint Peter of Cetinje on Wednesday, 31 October 2012, prayerfully and solemnly celebrated the feast day of our Holy father Peter of Cetinje and Holy Apostle and Evangelist Luke.

The celebration of Saint Luke commenced on the eve of the feast, on Tuesday, 30 October 2012, with a solemn vigil service which was served by Their Eminences: Amfilohije, Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral and Artemius, the Archbishop of Gornyen and Volgov from the Belarus Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate. Lots of clergy concelebrated along with the pupils of the Seminary of Cetinje who sang responses.

News From Parish of Saint Thomas in Johannesburg

With the blessing of His Holiness Kyr Irinej, Serbian Patriarch and His Holiness Kyr Theodor, Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, His Grace George, Bishop of Canada and His Eminence Damaskinos, Archbishop of Johannesburg and Pretoria, concelebrated the Divine Liturgy at the church of St. Apostle Thomas in Johannesburg, on 21 (8) October 2012, on the occasion of the Patron Saint-day of the church.

Gilded Cross Placed on the Central Dome of the Cathedral Church of Saint Jovan Vladimir in Bar

His Eminence Amfilohije, Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, consecrated on Sunday, October 28 2012, a gilded cross which was placed on the central dome of the Cathedral church of Saint Jovan Vladimir in Bar. His Eminence Metropolitan was concelebrated by Their Eminences Theodore of Mukachev and Juzhnogarad from the Ukranian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate and Artemius, Archbishop of Gornyen and Volgov from the Belarus Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, as well as His Grace Jovan, Bishop of Lipljan, Vicar of the Serbian Patriarch.

Patron Saint-day of Saint Luke's Church on Kosutnjak

On the occasion of the church Patron Saint-day (slava) His Holiness Kyr Irinej, Serbian Patriarch celebrated yesterday, on October 31, 2012, the Divine Liturgy at the church of Holy Apostle and Evangelist Luke on Kosutnjak. The clergy of this church along with clergy of other Belgrade churches concelebrated.

Centennial of Liberation of Gnjilane from Turkish rule

Regarding the centennial of the liberation of the Turkish rule His Grace Teodosije, Bishop of Raska-Prizren served on October 24^th, 2012 , the Divine Liturgy in the church of Saint Nicholas in Gnjilane with the concelebration of the clergy of the Episcopal Deanery of Gnjilane. Following the Holy Liturgy the Bishop performed the requiem for the General Bozidar Jankovic and the Serbian liberators died in the Balkan Wars. On this occasion the Bishop urged the faithful of Pomoravlje and all Kosovo and Metohija not to sell their estates and houses for which Serbian liberators gave their lives.

Church of Saint Marina consecrated in Skorica

On Sunday, October 28^th, 2012, Kyr David, Bishop of Krusevac visited a village of Skorica near Razanj and consecrated a newly built church of Saint Marina. The Holy Liturgy was celebrated and the clergy of the Diocese of Krusevac concelebrated. On this occasion Bishop David presented orders of merit to Mr. Velimir Ilic - Minister of Construction and Urbanism, Mr. Dobrica Stojkovic – the president of the Municipality of Razanj and Mr. Sasa Milosavljevic – Deputy President of the Municipality of Razanj, as well.
