His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch attended yesterday in the ceremonial hall of the Serbian Academy for Sciences and Arts the presentation of the Serbian Encyclopaedia (Volume I, book 1-2) in the joint publication of the Matica Srpska, SASA and the Institute for School Books and Teaching Aid.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch recieved yesterday at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade Mr. Stavros Dimas, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece accompanied by Mr. Demostenis Stoidis, ambassador of Greece in Belgrade, Mr. Haralampos Dimitriou, director of the Direction for neighbouring countries; Mrs Maria Luisa Marinaki, deputy director of the Direction for neighbouring contries; Mr. Hristos Panagopulous, chief of the Office; and Mr. Grigorios Delavekouras, spokesman of the Ministry.

St. Sava Celebrated in Charlottesville

On Saturday, January 28, 2012 a holy Divine Liturgy was served by Father Dragan Zaric from Charlotte, North Carolina at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Orthodox church in Charlottesville, Virginia.  In attendance were approximately 70 worshipers from both Charlottesville and Richmond.  After the liturgy, Father Dragan, along with Kum Zeljko Matic performed the ritual of breaking the Slava bread, with the participation of all the children in the church.  After breaking the Slava bread, Father Dragan invited parishioners to take up the role of Kumovi for the coming year.

With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Vasilije of Zvornik-Tuzla, with the support of President of the Republic of Srpska Mr. Milorad Dodik and in the organization of SCOS Srbadija from Bijeljina, Saint Sava's Day ball was held at the ceremonial hall of the hotel "Moscow" of the Ethno village Stanisici in Bijeljina.

BIshop Vasilije of Zvornik-Tuzla blessed the Saint Sava's Day ball and pointed out that with this occasion the all which is forgotten in our national spirituality and culture was restored.

On Sunday, January 29, 2012 the slava of the Serbian church of Saint Sava in New York City. On that occasion His Grace Bishop Maxim of Western America led the solemn liturgical celebration with the concelebration of the head of the church f. Djokan Majstorovic, f. Vladislav Radujkovic, guests from the Seminary of St. Tihon and two deacons.
