Diocesan Day in Shadeland

The 2011 St. Sava Camp season came to a close on Sunday, August 7, 2011 with the traditional Shadeland Picnic in conjunction with Diocesan Day.

Yesterday our Holy Church was prayerfully celebrated St. Pantaleon The Great  Martyr and Unmercenary. A great number of believers gathered in a beautiful church under construction in New Mirijevo which is dedicated to this great Saint. On behalf of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy was served by His Grace Vicar Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno with the concelebration of 5 priests and 3 deacons. 

Prayerful remembrance on victims of the genocide in the Independant State of Croatia (NDH)

The Serbian Orthodox Church universally, liturgically and prayerfully marks the 70th anniversary of the genocide in the Independant State of Croatia. With a joyful sorrow and a pride we remember our new martyrs - bishops, priests, monks and the faithful people - suffered by the Ustasha's hand in the most bestial pogrom during the World War Two. We remember also our Orthodox kin that suffered in  August 1994 in the Storm - a joint criminal enterprize against the Serbian people in Srpska Krajina, Dalmatia, Lika, Banija, Kordun...

Hierarchal Divine Liturgy in Ervenik

On the feast day of St. Great martyr Pantaleon (09.08.2011) His Grace Bishop Fotije of Dalmatia serve the Hierarchal Divine Liturgy in the church of St. father Nikolai in Ervenik. According to the traditions, Orthodox Serbs from Ervenik and local places gather on this day in the church that had been built by their ancestors, and which is now being renovated. This feast day is an assembly in Ervenik, because  many Orthodox Serbs gather in this place and in general in Dalmatia.

Celebration of the feast day of St. Panteleon the Great Martyr in Diocese of Vranje

The Feast day of Saint Great Martyr Pantaleon was marked in the Diocese of Vranje with serving Divine Liturgy in severall churches devoted to St. Pantaleon in: Bujanovac, Donji Romanovac, Oblik, Bogosev and Belanovac.

St. Mary Magdalene – Patron Saint's day of the Diocese of Budimlje-Niksic

His Grace Bishop Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic served on Thursday , August 4, on the feast day of St. Mary Magdalene, the Patron Saint's Day of the Diocese of Budimlje-Niksic, the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the monastery of Djurdjevi Stupovi.
