Kolut - On the feast day of St. Prophet Elijah, in the village of Kolut near Sombor, His Grace Bishop Dr Porfirije of Jegar consecrated the land where a church of St. Prophet Elijah. After the act of consecration, Bishop Porfirije cut the slava cake and held a nice sermon.

Many priests, choirs of St. George's church in Sombor Sts. Emperor Constantine and Empress Helen and the Child Choir, as well as a great number of faithful people from Kolut and nearby places.

Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren called today on the barricades in Rudar the Serbian people to patience, peace and dignity, stating that it was a weapon against which the strongest powers cannot do anything. 

"We must save dignity, patience and peace, because against that weapon the strongest powers cannot do anything. It is the weapon of the church, and people is part of the church", the Bishop said before several hundreds of Serbs who also today gathered at the barricades in a town of Rudare. The Bishop estimated that " the strongest weapon of the Serbian people is faith and hope that all will be solved in the best day.

A parish priest in Zubin Potok, protopresbyter Milan Kevkic with priests and monks has been for days on barricades in a village of Zupce. He says that they are present there becuase the Church in Kosovo and Metohija shares faith of its people. Yesterday they also held a prayer on the barricades. - We pray that God give all love and peace. This prayer is also for the KFOR soldiers, as a call that all this situation  finishes in a pious way - protopresbyter says.

On the occasion of 97th anniversary of the First World War, His Grace Vicar Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno served yesterday in front of the Monument to the Russian Soldiers at the New cemetary in Belgrade a memorial service for the glorious heroes fallen for freedom of the Russian and Serbian people. This prayerful remembrance on soldiers of the First World War was organized by the Embassy of the Russian  Federation in Belgrade and other Russian institutions in Serbia.
