Patriarch Porfirije receives Coptic Bishop of Central Europe

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch received His Grace Bishop Giovanni of Central Europe of the Coptic Orthodox Church in the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade, on 25 October 2021.

Having conveyed the greetings of His Holiness Patriarch Tavadros II, the Primate of the Coptic Orthodox Church, the guest informed the Serbian Patriarch that the Orthodox (pre-Chalcedonian) Church, which consists of about twelve million Coptic Christians mostly living in Egypt, founded the Diocese of Central Europe, which covers a wide area from Venice to Italy, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland to Romania.

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch  accompanied by His Grace Bishop Sava of Marca was welcomed by His Grace Bishop Jefrem of Banja Luka with the clergy, monastics and faithful people of the God-saved Diocese of Banja Luka, in front of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Banja Luka, on October 22, 2021.

Patriarchal Liturgy in the Miloševac Monastery near Prijedor

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch officiated the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy in the Miloševac Monastery near Prijedor, with the concelebration of His Grace Bishop Jefrem of Banja Luka and His Grace Bishop Sava of Marca.

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch officiated the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy in the Cathedral church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God in Sarajevo, on 17 October, 2021, on the feast day of Saints Stephen and Jelena - Jelisaveta Šiljanović.

The Patriarch was concelebrated by Their Eminences Metropolitans Hrizostom of Dabar-Bosnia and Joanikije of Montenegro and the Littoral and Their Graces Bishops Justin of Zica, Andrej of Austria-Switzerland, Sergije of Bihac-Petrovac, Dimitrije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina and Metodije of Budimlje-Niksic with the clergy from many dioceses of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

Patriarch Porfirije solemnly welcomed in East Sarajevo

His Holiness Porfirije, the Serbian Patriarch,  Metropolitan Hrizostom of Dabar-Bosnia and hierarchs of the Serbian Orthodox Church were welcomed by thousands of faithful on Serbia Square in East Sarajevo.

As part of his visit to the Metropolitanate of Dabar-Bosnia, His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch visited East Sarajevo on October 17, 2021. Serbian Patriarch of Porfirije was welcomed by Mayor Ljubisa Cosic, mayors of six municipalities, MPs and numerous faithful people. His Holiness was accompanied by Metropolitans Hrizostom of Dabar-Bosnia and Joanikije of Montenegro and the Littoral and Bishop Andrej of Austria-Switzerland.
