The religious ceremony was officiated by His Grace Bishop Jovan of Sumadija and His Grace Bishop Irinej of the Eastern Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church in America. The bridegroom’s best man was his best friend Mr. Alexander Sehnaoui.

His Holiness was met by State Secretary Sholtes Miklosh, who exposed to the Church dignitaries a brief history of the magnificent building as well as history of the Hungarian people in general. The reception was attended by Bishops: Lukian of Buda (Hungary), Kiril of South America, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia Ivan Todorov, a Serbian representative in the Parliament Ljubomir Aleksov.

The Primate of the Serbian Church was concelebrated by Bishops: Lukijan of Buda (Hungary), Kiril of Buenos Aires and South America and Vicar Bishop Isihije of Mohacs with a number of clergy. The Holy Liturgy was attended by the Vice-President of the Government of Hungary Dr. Zsolt Semjén and the State Secretary Miklós Soltész.

His Grace Vicar Bishop Stefan of Remesiana, envoy of His Holiness Serbian Patriarch, Bishops Fotije of Tuzla and Heruvim of Osek-Polje, President of the Republic of Srpska Mrs. Zeljka Cvijanovic, ministers in the Government of the Republic of Srpska, and other cultural, religious and political dignitaries attended the event along with the faithful people.
