Communique - Cathedral Church in Belgrade

We inform the faithful of the Serbian Orthodox Church that Cathedral Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Belgrade will be closed on November 19, 2009 at 02:00am, due to preparations of the church for the Divine Liturgy which will be served on that day, at 07:30am. At the same time, we ask them to plan their arrival at Cathedral church only by this time, because after it they will not be able to enter the church.

Direct broadcast of the funeral of Patriarch Pavle of blessed repose

Thanks to the Serbian Broadcasting Service (RTS) , the official website of the Serbian Orthodox Church www.spc.rs will broadcast directly the Divine Liturgy, the funeral service and the burrial of Patriarch Pavle of blessed repose.

Communique - for radio and sound recordings

The Committee which is organizing the funeral of Patriarch Pavle of Serbia of blessed repose on the session held on November 17, 2009 taking into account the enormous interest of the faithful of the Serbian Orthodox Church at first, and the wider public as well, decided with a wholehearted support of the the Serbian Broadcasting Service (RTS) to provide all local and foreign radio broadcasting companies transfer of broadcasting signal and sound recordings.

Information on accreditations of crews of media companies

All media companies received two accreditations. Accreditations can be obtained only by the authorized persons and with the journalist identity card and ID  (or other identification document). Accreditation for the media to be shared from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the office of the Information service at the Patriarchate Cour.

Communique - direct TV broadcast of the funeral of Patrijarh Pavle of blessed repose on RTS

The Committee which is organizing the funeral of Patriarch Pavle of Serbia of blessed repose on the session held on November 17, 2009 taking into account the enormous interest of the faithful of the Serbian Orthodox Church at first, and the wider public as well, made a decision to let the Serbian Broadcasting Service (RTS) perform a direct broadcast of the funeral of Patriarch Pavle of Serbia of blessed repose. 

Communique of the Committee which is organizing the funeral of Patriarch Pavle of blessed repose

Today at the Patriarchate Court a session of the Committee which is organizing the funeral of Patriarch Pavle of blessed repose was held. On behalf of the Committee Bishop Dr. Irinej of Bachka and Bishop Grigorije of Zahumlje and Herzegovina addressed the public.

Since the session of the Committee was devoted to organizing routes on which the prayerful procession will go Bishop Irinej of Bachka emphasized words of the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs who said that policemen will not only be the guardians of order but, as all the faithful, will participate in the prayerful procession.

Bishop Grigorije of Zahumlje and Herzegovina said the Divine Liturgy will be served at Cathedral church at 7:30am, afterwards the prayer procession will go towards  St. Sava Memorial-Cathedral in 9.30 hours, and through these streets: Knez Sima Markovic, Pop Lukina, Brankova, via Zeleni Venac and Prizrenska to Terazije square where it will be served a brief commemoration. After that  the procession will go along Kralja Milana towards Slavija square, and further through Bulevar Oslobodjenja  until Krusedolska street, where the coffin held by the hands of Bishops will be transferred to the plateau in front of St. Sava Cathedral. There will be served the funeral service at 11am. 

After the funeral service, the coffin with the body of Patriarch Pavle will be transferred to Monastery Rakovica through following streets: Bulevar Oslobodjenja, Autokomanda, Bulevar Oslobodjenja, Trosarina, Crnotravska, Borska, Miska Kranjca, Patrijarha Dimitrija, to Monastery of St. Michael the Archangel  in Rakovica, in Patrijarha Dimitrija 34.

The press conference is scheduled for Wednesday at 12:00pm.
