Communique of Diocese of Raska-Prizren

The Orthodox Diocese of Raska-Prizren and Kosovo-Metohija has proven information that monk of Crna Reka Antonije Davidovic, for whom the Holy Assembly of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church repeatedly asked to be punished for his church-destroying and non monk behavior, and who is now finally placed under the authority of the church body, currently is located in the areas of Orahovac and Velika Hoca, where he talk to people against Patriarch and the Church and brings doubt with numerous delusional stories, supposedly protecting Bishop Artemije. Davidovic in this way with these methods also seek a support for himself, because he is under the church procedure.

Upon the decision of the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church no. 131 of February 11, 2010 signed by His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia, His Grace Bishop Artemije of Raska-Prizren and Kosovo-Metohija was dismissed of the managing duties of the Diocese of Raska and Prizren until the completion of the initiated canonical procedure, or until the next session of the Holy Assembly of Bishops. His Grace Bishop Artemije is not forbidden to serve and can stay at the seat or other place or monastery of these or other Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church, but with the permission of the newly appointed administrator or other Bishop in charge or  other Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

The Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral neither is the founder of non-government organization "Matica Srba Crne Gore" nor Metropolitan had blessed "the decision to hold the founding Assembly" as it was presented in media. Founding cultural and national organizations, as it is well known, neither belongs to a jurisdiction of the Metropolitanate nor Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral.

Statement: Anti-discrimination on the basis of some personal inclination is not the same as freedom of expression of that person

Because of the different, and frequently one-sided or wrong interpretations of problems regarding the anti-discrimination Bill in some media, I am giving, in order to explain and inform impartially , following personal statement , which represents also the position of the Holy Synod of my Church and the positions of all the traditional Churches and religious communities.

Basic rights and freedom are also basic values of the legal order and society in whole. There belongs also anti-discrimination, that is a principle of equal protection of rights and freedoms. However, possible sources of discrimination are something totally different.

Beloved Spiritual Children in Christ,

We turn to you in this most difficult hour for all peoples of Australia, a time when every soul "mourns and suffers" due to the great and horrific tragedies which have befallen our Continent. Fires and floods, these dread natural disasters, have consumed over two hundred innocent lives. Many have been hurt and countless lamentable and suffering individuals are left without a roof over their heads. Persons, who have endeavoured their entire lives to establish the basic needs for their children and to secure a peaceful end to their own lives, now have lost absolutely everything.
