Books of Metropolitan Amfilohije promoted in Podgorica

On Saturday, on the feast day of Holy King Milutin, in the crypt of the church of the Resurrection of Christ in Podgorica, four new books of His Eminence Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral Amfilohije - "Chronicle of a new Kosovo's crucifixion".

Jeremic: Churches in Kosovo are, and will remain Serbian

Vuk Jeremic stated on Tuesday that on Serbia′s election to the UNESCO World Heritage Committee will strengthen its positions regarding the nation′s heritage.
The Serbian foreign minister stressed that it will help in efforts to prevent the attempts of renaming Serbian Orthodox Christian monasteries in Kosovo and refer to them as "Kosovar". “If they are not Serbian, than nothing is. This deals a blow to the very core of our national identity, but as of next year we will be in a much better position to protect our identity,” Jeremić said in a statement for Tanjug.

Exhibition Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky in Serbian culture opens

Within the Days of the Serbian culture in Russia, in Moscow today, in the House of the Russian Diaspora, an exhibition "Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky in Serbian Culture" was opened. The exhibition is organized by the Belgrade City Library and the author is Natasa Bulatovic.
 
At the exhibition, which is opened until November 15, materials are presented which point at close ties between the great Russian writers and the Serbian people. It is about printed materials, translations, articles of the critics, cultural activities.

Serbia joins UNESCO World Heritage Committee

Serbia has been elected as member of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee at its 36th General Conference which is being held in Paris, Tanjug learned at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This is the first time Serbia has become a member of that body since its foundation.
