Imperial look of Bolshoi

The Bolshoi Theatre, the Russian temple of opera and ballet  after six years of the reconstruction on October 28 will solemnly open the main door to receive the highest guests. Actually, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs got a task to invite to this event the most eminent guests, among those also state officials from many countries.

The building of the most famous Russian theater had to "general overhaul" because the river began to erode the foundations. The hardest part of the work was to solve permanently the problem with the water of the river which stream bed had been transformed into the concrete and the top was covered with asphalt. . However,  because they shut it Neglinka "avenged" itself  through cracks on the foundations.

Professor finds Ethiopian Queen's Gospels

Steve Delamarter, the George Fox University professor who digitizes Ethiopian religious manuscripts and returned one to Ethiopia last year, has found another prize: an illustrated copy of the four Christian Gospels that belonged to Queen Zewditu, who ruled Ethiopia from 1916 to 1930.

270th Anniversary of the discovery of Russian America marked in Moscow
