Serbian Patriarch Irinej at the opening of the Historical Museum of Serbia

April 2013 - 10:46His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch attended on 12 April 2013 the solemn opening of the restored Museum of History of Serbia, in which the exhibition “The Karadjordjevics and the Obrenovics in the collections of Historical Museum of Serbia” was set up. The restored space of the Historical Museum of Serbia was opened by President of Serbia Mr. Tomislav Nikolic, who presented to this significant national institution the Order of Sretenje of the Third Degree for special merits in the field of cultural activities, and on the occasion of 50 years of existence and the successful work.
Remembrance day on the bombing of the National Library of Serbia

April 2013 - 15:00Many Belgraders with books in their hands gathered on April 6th, 2013 at Kosancicev Venac, when the National Library of Serbia was completely destroyed and burnt in Nazi bombing 72 years ago. Besides Minister of Culture and Information Mr. Bratislav Petkovic, at the site there were His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno, the head of the Lubrary of the Serbian Patriarchate Mr. Zoran Nedeljkovic, head of the National Library of Serbia Mr. Dejan Ristic, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps, foreign cultural centers and cultural institutions.
Pan-Orthodox Festival of Choirs in Munich
3. April 2013 - 9:45Pan-Orthodox Festival of Choirs on Sunday of Orthodoxy, was held for the ninth time in Munich – 9. Panorthodoxes Chortreffen zum Sonntag der Orthodoxie, representing a spiritual column of the homogenous communion of many Orthodox churches in Munich – Serbian, Russian, Greek, Bulgarian, Romanian, as well as Non-Chalcedonian Churches – the Coptic and the Armenian Apostolic ones.

March 2013 - 15:45For the last nine years, every 17 March, the Academy of the Serbian Orthodox Church for arts and conservation from Belgrade has been organizing a prayerful and artistic remembrance of the 2004 pogrom of Serbs from Kosovo and Metohia. Also this year, MSc Goran Janicijevic, Associate Professor on subject Fresco Painting, prepared the student’s exhibition, which is hosted at the Saint Sava Memorial Cathedral.
