From Sunday, December 18 through Wednesday, December 21, we'll be offering high school and college students an opportunity to spend four days on our campus, learning and directing liturgical music and meeting and worshipping with young men and women from across North America. We'll also offer a trip to New York City to ice skate on the famous rinks of the Big Apple, and we'll form a chorus to sing Christmas Carols in our local neighborhood.

The closing ceremony of the 8th International Charitable Film Festival ‘Radiant Angel’ took place on November 8, 2011, in Moscow. The ceremony was opened by Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s department for external church relations and rector of the Sts Cyril and Methodius Post-Graduate and Doctoral School.

Having conveyed to the participants a blessing from His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, Metropolitan Hilarion noted that the Radiant Angel film festival was one of the significant projects carried out under the national program ‘The Spiritual and Moral Culture of Russia’s Younger Generation’. It shows that the moral improvement of society has become a joint task for the Church, society and state.

Serbian FM: So-called state of Kosovo cannot own SPC monuments

Monasteries and churches of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) cannot belong to the so-called Republic of Kosovo, Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic stated at the UNESCO General Conference in Paris on Monday.

“In this Organisation, we are supposed to protect and nurture cultural identities, not be complicit in politicized attempts to carve up new ones,” Jeremic underscored.
