Christian couple burned alive in Pakistan
6. November 2014 - 13:28Two Pakistani Christians were thrown into a brick kiln and burned to death following a blasphemy allegation.
The killings took place in a village near Lahore.
The Fides news agency reported that Shama Bibi, 24, had burned some papers belonging to her late father-in-law. After a Muslim who witnessed the incident alleged she had burned pages of the Qur’an, a mob of over 100 people held Bibi and her husband, Shahbaz Maseeh, hostage for two days.

Priests, deacons, and faithful from St. Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Colleyville, St Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Euless, St Philopateer Coptic Orthodox Church in Richardson, and St Sarkis Armenian Orthodox Church in Carrollton all joined in the celebration of the feast of St Gregorios on November 1st, 2014. It was a taste of the Kingdom when all cultures will be gathered before the throne of God worshipping in unity of spirit and faith.

Archbishop Sebouh Sarkissian welcomed the guests and informed the Catholicos that they meet often to consult and discuss their problems and plans. He then invited the representatives to introduce their communities and their work to Catholicos Aram I.
New Armenian Orthodox Baptismal Church to be Consecrated on the banks of Jordan River
29. October 2014 - 12:25At the end of this month, at the river Jordan bank in Jordan, the Armenian Baptismal Church of St. Garabed will be consecrated.
His Majesty King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan donated property for the Church to the Armenian Apostolic Patriarchate of Jerusalem, as well as property for other churches at the river Jordan bank.
Egyptian Government Promotes Christian Itineraries

Ibrahim Mahlab’s government is underscoring Egypt’s Christian identity in a bid to relaunch Egypt’s religious tourism. The message emerging from Tuesday night’s inaguration cerimony , attended by Egyptian Minister of Tourism Hisham Zaazou and by the Coptic Orthodox Patriarch, is the promotion of itineraries linked to the presence of the Holy Family in Egypt. The government and religious authorities agree: “We need peace and security in Egypt”, both premier Mahlab and the Coptic patriarch Tawadros II said, while talking about the Coptic quarter of Cairo, “a symbol of the country’s identity”, Mahlab added, where next to churches you can find other places of worship for other monotheistic religions, such as the Jewish and the Muslim one. It’s a place “that speaks by itself” underlined Mahlab “of dialogue, peace and security” , the essence of Egypt. A country where, according to tradition, “also Jesus found peace and safety”.
