After three years of painstaking excavations, a Byzantine-era Christian church with spectacular, well-preserved mosaics and frescoes has finally been completely unearthed. The structure is located approximately ten miles west of the city of Jerusalem.

A State-Religious Delegation of the Republic of Serbia is making an official visit to Indonesia from 21 to 26 October 2019 in order to participate in the Fourth Bilateral Interfaith Dialogue between Serbia and Indonesia.

The conference is being held in Yogyakarta, a city in southwestern Indonesia. The State-Delegation of the Republic of Serbia arrived in Yogyakarta on October 22, 2019.

The State-Religious Mission of the Republic of Serbia left for Indonesia on October 21, 2019, for the fourth bilateral inter-religious dialogue between Serbia and Indonesia to be held in the forthcoming days.

The State-Religious Mission of the Republic of Serbia, besides the representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, the Directorate for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities, as well as representatives of traditional Churches and religious communities,  includes His Grace Bishop Isihije of Mohacs and protodeacon Damjan Bozic, Editor-in-chief of “Orthodoxy”, the newspaper of the Serbian Patriarchate.

The Christian Genocide in Nigeria

It has been widely reported that over the years, a large number of Christians are being persecuted in the African nation of Nigeria, a country that has an equal number of Christian and Muslim populations.

Under the leadership of Muhammadu Buhari, the Preseindt of Nigeria, atrocities against Christians are on the rise at an unprecedented scale.  Islamic groups like Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen have committed heinous crimes against Christians. The government seems less caring about the sad plight of the Christian in the country. Christians are slaughtered, women are raped, and taken as sex slaves, Christian houses are destroyed and Churches are burned down.

International Day for the Eradication of Poverty is celebrated across the globe every year on 17 October to raise awareness about the people who are struggling and living in poverty. It is necessary to remove poverty mainly in developing countries.

As we know that poverty has many faces, it changes from place to place. For some poverty is hunger, lack of shelter, being sick or not having enough money, etc. Basically, poverty is a state or condition in which a person lacks financial resources and not able to fulfil basic needs.
