The 100th anniversary of the church in Lapovo

The Holy hierarchal Liturgy was officiated by Bishop Jovan of Sumadia on August 11, 2019 on the 100th anniversary of the consecration of St. Paraskeva church in Lapovo, Serbia.
Among the priests who served with the Bishop were retired parish priests of Lapovo, archpriests-stavrophors Srboljub Markovic and Milenko Stikic, as well as a retired Belgrade priest, protoresbyter-stavrophor Milan Radovanovic, a native of Lapovo.

On the eighth Sunday after Pentecost, August 11, 2019, with the blessing of His Grace Bishop of Buda (Hungary) and the administrator of Timisoara, the Holy hierarchal Liturgy in the Cathedral Church in Timisoara was celebrated by His Grace Nikanor, Bishop of Banat.
The clergy of the dioceses of Timisoara, Buda and Banat concelebrated in the prayerful presence of Bishop Lukian.

A joint statement was issued today, Monday, August 12, after the meeting of the Leaders of the Christian Churches in Damascus.
In particular, Patriarch John X of Antioch, the Patriarch of the Syriac Orthodox Church, Ignatius Aphrem II, and the Patriarch of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church of Antioch, Youssef Absi, met at the Monastery of Saint Ephraim the Syrian, in the presence of the Apostolic Nuncio to Syria, Mario Zenari.
Shadeland End of Camp Celebration and Slava 2019

On Saturday August 3, 2019, honoring the Venerable Mother Angelina of Krushedol, the campers of Shadeland Camp celebrated the Shadeland Patronal Feast—Slava.
The Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was celebrated by His Grace Bishop Irinej, with concelebration of diocesan clergy. The choir of campers with their angelic voices beautified the service by singing responses. Over the past several years, the campers and their teachers have shown their great diligence in practicing various liturgical compositions, and do so with inherent ease in a short period of time, "that with gratitude in their hearts they may sing to God" (Col. 3:16).

Archbishop Michael of New York and New Jersey, OCA, and Bishop Dionisy of Voskresensk, first Patriarchal vicar for Moscow, ROC, officiated.

A beautiful and blessed event in and of itself, the good Lord truly bestowed additional blessings upon us and the occasion with ideal weather, an abundance of parishioners, a full choir and a most sacred Divine Liturgy.
