On Monday, 18 December 2017, parishioners in Woolloongabba had a blessing and an honour to be visited by His Grace Bishop Siluan of Australia and New Zealand and participated at the Vigil service on the Eve of the Patron Saint-day, the feast day of Saint Nicholas. 

The Vigil service was served by dean of the church protopresbyter Jovan Cvetic. Many parishioners from all parishes of Brisbane and Gold Coast with their priests attended the Vigil service.

Оn December 21, 2017, Bishop Maxim of the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Western America visited the Dr. Dragan Hercog Elementary School and the Special Hospital for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Neurology on Sokobanjska Street, in Belgrade. 

Bishop Maxim was welcomed by excited children with smiles on their faces at the time of their German language class, teachers of the school, the director Mr. Zoran Aleksic and the Head of the Department Tatjana Arežina.

At the end of this annual canonical visitation to the Diocese of Buenos Aires and South-Central America, its administrator His Eminence Amfilohije, Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, had various activities.

The Metropolitan attended the Holy Liturgy which was served by the recently ordained priest Milenko Ralevic and hierodeacon David (Janketic). In the afternoon, the Metropolitan attended the reception given by the Metropolitan Ignatius of Argentina and South America of the Moscow Patriarchate. The Metropolitan was escorted by Bishop Kiril of Dioclea and protodeacons Nikola Radisa and Vladimir Jaramaz. The reception was also attended by Bishop John of Caracas and South America of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.

On the feast-day of the Great Martyr Barbara, 17 December 2017, the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy was served by Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral and Bishop Kirilo of Dioclea in the church of Saint Nicholas in Machagai.

The Metropolitan was concelebrated by Archimandrite Demetrius from Paraguay, local parish priest Branko Stanisic, priest Marko Obradovic from Brazil, as well as protodeacons Nikola Radis and Vladimir Jaramaz. With the blessing of Metropolitan Amfilohije, on this Sunday service the feast-day of Saint Nicholas of Myra was celebrated as well.

St. George Clearwater held its annual SerbFest on November 17-19, 2017.

It was 3 days of hard work by all our dedicated volunteers, church board members and Kolo sisters. The festival was full of great performances from various groups around Florida, including a Bulgarian group and Mexican group who delighted all our visitors with their dancing.
