The greatest gathering in the history of the Serbian Orthodox Church
17. September 2013 - 13:21From October 4-9, 2013 the greatest and the most representative gathering in the history of our local Church will take place in Belgrade, Nis and Podgorica.
Primates and representatives of local Orthodox Churches, led by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, His Holiness Theophilos of Jerusalem, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, His Beatitude Archbishop Chrysostomos of Cyprus and His Beatitude Archbishop Sava of Warsaw responded to the invitation of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch to participate in both the Central and closing ceremony commemorating the 1700th anniversary of the Edict of Milan. Besides delegations from the Orthodox Churches, the Central celebration of the 1700th anniversary of the Edict of Milan will also be attended by representatives of the East Non-Chalcedonian Churches, an esteemed delegation from the Vatican with representatives from the Roman Catholic Church from the region, leaders from the Reformed Church, as well as different Christian organizations and associations from throughout Europe and the world.

Stojan Andov: Archbishop Jovan is a political prisoner
16. September 2013 - 12:54The first President of the pluralistic Assembly of R. Macedonia, Mr Stojan Andov is one more renowned Macedonian politician who indicates to the domestic public that Archbishop Jovan of Ohrid is a political prisoner!
In his article for the weekly magazine “Fokus” (issue 935, 06.09.2013), Mr Stojan Andov stresses that serious warnings are being sent by the international community in regard to the political prisoners in R. Macedonia, amongst which Mr Stojan Andov is highlighting the name of Archbishop Jovan of Ohrid.
It is not the first time that some distinguished Macedonian politician, as is Mr Stojan Andov, who was on three terms the President of the Assembly of R. Macedonia, publicizes that Archbishop Jovan of Ohrid is a political prisoner.
Patriarch Irinej serves in Cathedral church in Sarajevo

September 2013 - 12:44His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch served on Sunday, 15 September 2013 the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God in Sarajevo on the occasion of 60 years of the ministry as a priest and 40 years of the ministry as a bishop in the Serbian Orthodox Church of His Eminence Metropolitan Nikolaj of Dabar-Bosna.
Bishop Hrizostom visits Monastery Sase for the first time
