Patron's feast day of the Diocese of Bihac-Petrovac

On Sunday, 15 September 2013 the Patron feast day of the Diocese of Bihac-Petrovac - Synaxis of All Serbian Saints, was solemnly celebrated 

Their Graces Bishop Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic and Bishop Atanasije of Bihac-Petrovac served the Divine Liturgy in the church of Venerable Mother Paraskeva - Saint Petka in Podbrdo near Mrkonjic Grad. Clergy and monks of the Diocese of Bihac-Petrovac as well as guest priests from Belgrade, Montengero and other dioceses of the Serbian Orthodox Church concelebrated to the Bishops. 

Serbian Patriarch Irinej in the Metropolitanate of Dabar-Bosna

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, came yesterday, on 14 September 2013, in two-day visit to the Metropolitanate of Dabar-Bosna where he served today, on 15 September 2013, the Divine Liturgy on the occasion of the 60^th anniversary of the ministry as a priest and the 40^th anniversary of the ministry as a bishop of His Eminence Metropolitan Nikolaj of Dabar-Bosna

The Patriarch was welcomed at the Cathedral Church where the doxology in his honour was served by Metropolitan Nikolaj of Dabar-Bosna, Bishop Lukijan of Osek-Polje, priests and monks of the Metropolitanate of Dabar-Bosna. Many believers from Sarajevo, East Sarajevo, Pale, Sokolac and other places from Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia attended the service.

Feast day of the church of Saint Alexander Nevsky

The feast day of Saint Alexander Nevsky was solemnly celebrated with Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church devoted to the great Russian saint in Belgrade 

With the blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch His Grace Bishop Andrej of Remesiana served the Holy Hierchal Liturgy with the concelebration of the clergy of Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac. The service was attended by Dr. Mileta Radojevic, director of the Office for Cooperation with traditional Churches and religious communities. The Bishop cut the slava cake with this year's hosts of the slava, Mr. Dejan and Mrs. Dejana Doder. After that the agape lunch followed. 

Patriarch Irinej in Serbian monastery in New Carlisle

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch visited Serbian Orthodox monastery of the Nativity of Most Holy Theotokos in New Carlisle, Indiana

His Holiness, accompanied by His Grace Bishop Longin of New Gracanica-Midwestern America, presbyter Vladimir Vranic and deacon Aleksandar Vujkovic, arrived in the monastery on the eve of the feast day of the Beheading of Saint John the Baptist when he served the vigil service with local priesthood.  Next morning, on the feast day of the Beheading, Serbian Patriarch officiated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy. His Grace Bishop Longin attended the Liturgy. Sisterhood of this monastery warmly welcomed the Patriarch and showed on this occasion their generosity.

Novi Sad: International Commission for Anglican-Orthodox Theological Dialogue

On Saturday, 7 September 2013, participants of the International Commission for Anglican-Orthodox Theological Dialogue (ICAOTD) visited sights of Novi Sad. On Monday, 9 September guests attended the vigil service at the Cathedral church in Novi Sad 

Following the visit to the sinagogue and informing about a life of the jewish community in Novi Sad, our eminent guests also visited the Museum of Vojvodina where they heard a little about the history of our people in this region. After that they went to the reception at the Roman Catholic church in the downtown, where they were welcomed by father Robert, parish priest of the church of the Name of Maria. Following the visit, the representatives of the Anglican Church served the Holy Liturgy at the Slovak Evangelical Church in Novi Sad. 

In Tokyo 75th birthday of the Primate of the Japanese Autonomous Orthodox Church

On the occasion of 75^th birthday of Archbishop of Tokyo and Metropolitan of Japan Daniel, which falls on September 5^th, with the blessing of Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, a delegation of the Russian Orthodox Church with head of the Novospasky stavropegial monastery Bishop Sava of Voskresensk, Vicar of Moscow Diocese, arrived on September 7^th in Tokyo.
