July 2012 - 15:41Representatives of Mostar Serbs and the mission of the Diocese of Zahumlje-Herzegovina and the Littoral, were from June 28 until July 3, 2012 in a visit to Prague, upon the invitation of Czech Cardinal Duka, Archbishop of Prague and Metropolitan Christopher of Czech lands and Slovakia, as well as friends of the Serbian community of Mostar; Vese Djorem, brothers Sparavalo, Milutin Peric and others.

July 2012 - 12:07On Monday, July 2, 2012 at the Patriarchate, the constitutive session of the Commission of the Holy Assembly of Bishops for revision of the Constitution of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The Holy Assembly of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church with its decision of June 16, 2011 formed the Commission for revision of the Constitution of the SOC consisting of: His Eminence Metropolitan Dr Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral, president; His Grace Archbishop of Ohrid and Metropolitan of Skopje Dr Jovan; Their Graces Bishops Dr Irinej of Backa, Dr Ignjatije of Branicevo and retired Dr Atanasije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina; protopresbyter-staurophor Dr Zoran Krstic, hieromonk MSc Nikodim (Kosovic); protodeacon Dr Stanimir Spasovic; prof. Dr Sima Avramovic; professor Dr Nenad Milosevic and Milan Andric,members, as well as protopresbyter-staurophor MSc Velibor Dzomic, secretary.

Cultural treasure of the Serbs of Dubrovnik at the Archive of Serbia

July 2012 - 15:46The Serbian church municipality in Dubrovnik, Archive of Serbia and the National Library of Serbia mutually prepared an exhibition The Culture of Serbs in Dubrovnik 1790-2010, from the Treasury of the Serbian Orthodox church of Holy Annunciation, which was opened at the Archive of Serbia. The exhibition represents a crown of the multi-year effort of the team of experts to process an exceptional cultural heritage of the Serbs in Dubrovnik. The opening was attended by His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, a few bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church, representatives of the Roman Catholic church and islamic religious community, as well as many figures from political, academic, cultural and public life of the capital.

St. Paul Days in Veria

June 2012 - 11:21His Grace Bishop Andrej of Remesiana, with the blessing of His Holiness Irinej Serbian Patriarch and with the decision of the Holy Assembly of Bishops, there is a representative of our Local Serbian Orthodox Church in Veria at the Interorthodox Convention, held on the occasion of St. Paul's Day, the slava of the town of Veria, one of the oldest Christian towns in which Holy Apostle Paul preached and founded one of the first Christian eucharistic Congregations.
