Bishop Irinej presides at Paschal Vespers at the Russian Orthodox Church in Dandenong

His Grace Bishop Irinej of Australia and New Zealand, accompanied by Archimandrite Lazar (Caran) of the St. Sava Monastery in Elaine, participated in the celebration of Paschal Vespers on the Great Feast of the Resurrection of Our Lord at the Russian Orthodox Church of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos in Dandenong, Victoria The services were led by the Very Rev. Mitred Archpriest Dr. Michael Protapopov, Dean of Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia, joined by other local hieromonks and deacons.

Bishop Maxim celebrates Pascha at St. Stevan's Cathedral

On Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 11pm His Grace Bishop Maxim of Western America concelebrated the Paschal Matins and the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy with Fr. Nicholas Ceko, Fr. Lazar Vasiljevic, Fr. Ilija Dajkovic, Fr. Norman Kosanovic and Hierodeacon Elisha Kapor and the parishioners of the Saint Steven's Cathedral in Alhambra, California.

Holy Hierarchal Liturgy served at midnight on Easter at St Sava Cathedral on Vrachar

On the greatest Christian feast day in all churches of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the country and abroad was praying and joyous. In the greatest temple of our Holy Church a Holy Liturgy was served at midnight, and the faithful were coming to the Communion cup so as to feel all the force of the Resurrection of Christ by taking communion with the Living God.

At the St Sava Cathedral on Vrachar at midnight, His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral with the blessing and on behalf of His Holiness Patriarch Pavle of Serbia served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of fifteen priests and deacons.

Holy Liturgy on Easter at the Cathedral church in Belgrade

A joyous Christian feast day - the Resurrection of Our Lord, in the Archbishopric Belgrade and Karlovac was celebrated with the Divine Liturgy, not just at midnight but also on Sunday morning, at churches full of pious people of the Serbian capital - the people anxious about meeting with the Resurrected Lord through communion by His Body and Blood.

At the Cathedral church in Belgrade, His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvonso, vicar of the patriarch, on behalf of His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Pavle of Serbia, served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy beginning at 9 in the morning. His Grace Bishop served with concelebration of priesthood and deacons of the Archbishopric Belgrade and Karlovac.

Patriarch Pavle of Serbia celebrated the Feast Day of the Resurrection of Our Lord

His Holiness Patriarch Pavle of Serbia celebrated in joy one of the greatest feast days, Resurrection of Our Lord, at the Military Medical Academy along with His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral, His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno and guests.

After having blessed all the present, and especially children, His Holiness wished them to celebrate a holiday of Resurrection of Christ in health and spiritual pleasure. By sending prayers to the Lord for entire progress of the Serbian people. Patriarch Pavle of Serbia greeted them with joyous Christian salute: Christ is Risen! Truly, He is Risen!
