On October 31, with the blessings of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; an international conference on “Regional Peace: Realities and Perspectives” was held in the Vatche and Tamar Manookian Library of the Mother See. The conference was organized through the initiative of the WCC Armenian Round Table Foundation.

Patriarch Ilia planning to visit Russia for centenary of restored patriarchate

His Holiness Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II of Georgia has accepted the invitation of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill to visit Moscow on December 4 for the celebration of the centenary of the restoration of the Russian Patriarchate, saying he is ready to visit, health allowing, reports RIA-Novosti.

An icon of Holy Hierarch and Confessor Luke (Voino-Yasenetsky) the Physician of Simferopol, which had orbited the globe around 700 times aboard the International Space Station has been returned to Moscow’s Novospassky Monastery. The icon was greeted by deputy abbot His Grace Bishop Sava of Voskresensk along with the brethren and parishioners, reports the monastery website.
