Gracheva, presenter of the Church and the World program, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk commented on the discussion held in the Church on the need to provide by law the right of unborn children.This topic was discussed in particular at the plenary session of the Inter-Council Presence of the Russian Orthodox Church held in May 26-28 in Moscow. It adopted a draft document “On the Immunity of the life of a human being since the conception”. A paper on this theme was presented to the plenary session by Metropolitan Hilarion. Later on, the draft will be submitted to the Bishops’ Council.

7. June 2021 - 8:27Patriarch Daniel sent on Monday consistent gifts for 280 children from the Archdiocese of Bucharest. Beneficiaries were the 40 children who receive social support at the eparchy’s “St Sophia” Day Care Center and the children of clerics who serve in rural parishes of the second and third category. “I wish to send a message of gratitude for the gifts and also of appreciation for all who dedicate time or resources to the center’s children, offering them small surprises, guidance and support,” declared Laura Irimia, center coordinator.
