Ordination in the church of the Holy Apostles in Topcider

His Holiness Porfirije, the Serbian Patriarch officiated the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy in the church of Holy Apostles of Peter and Paul in Topcider, on 7 November 2021 (phоto gallery).

The Patriarch was concelebrated by Their Graces Bishops Nikodim of Dalmatia and Jerotej of Toplica. After the Great Entrance, Patriarch Porfirije ordained reader Srboljub Ostojic to the rank of deacon.

Serbian Patriarch Porfirije received a Syrian diplomat

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch, received Dr. Ammar Awad,  Head of Mission and Plenipotentiary Minister at the Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic in Belgrade, at the Patriarchal Palace in Belgrade, on 9 November 2021.

Patriarch Porfirije praised the traditionally friendly relations between the Serbian and Syrian people, which is especially reflected in the fraternal cooperation between the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Patriarchate of Antioch, which was crowned by mutual historical visits of Patriarch John of Antioch and All the East and Serbian Patriarch Irinej.

President of the Parliament of Cyprus meets with the Serbian Patriarch

His Holiness Porfirije, the Serbian Patriarch,  received the President of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus, Mrs. Annita Demetriou, at the Patriarchal Palace in Belgrade, on October 31, 2021.

In a cordial and friendly conversation with the Speaker of the Cypriot Parliament, the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church emphasized the great importance of further promoting mutual respect and love between the two fraternal Orthodox nations and the two countries.

Patriarch Porfirije receives Coptic Bishop of Central Europe

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch received His Grace Bishop Giovanni of Central Europe of the Coptic Orthodox Church in the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade, on 25 October 2021.

Having conveyed the greetings of His Holiness Patriarch Tavadros II, the Primate of the Coptic Orthodox Church, the guest informed the Serbian Patriarch that the Orthodox (pre-Chalcedonian) Church, which consists of about twelve million Coptic Christians mostly living in Egypt, founded the Diocese of Central Europe, which covers a wide area from Venice to Italy, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland to Romania.
