On Holy and Great Thursday Patriarch Porfirije served in Ruzica Church

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch, served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Ruzica church at the Kalemegdan Fortress on Holy and Great Friday, 29 April 2021. 

His Holiness Patriarch was concelebrated by Chief Secretary of the Holy Synod of Bishops protopresbyter-staurophor Dr. Savo Jovic, Dean of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology of the University of Belgrade presbyter Dr. Zoran Rankovic, protodeacon Dr. Sava Milin, deacon Dr. Slavoljub Ubiparipovic, subdeacons Vladimir Jelic and Njegos Stikic, as well as readers Andrej Jelic and Pavle Jovanovic. 

Serbian Patriarch receives the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Montenegro

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch received His Excellency Dr. Vladimir Bozovic, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Montenegro at the Serbian Patriarchate on 28 April 2021.

The key topic of the conversation between the Primate of the Serbian Church and Ambassador Bozovic was related to finding the best possible opportunities for improving relations and cooperation between the two fraternal states for the benefit of all peoples, churches and religious communities. - The Serbian Orthodox Church is committed to engaging in the establishment of full mutual trust, as well as the equal position and cooperation of all peoples in the region, and, to that end, expects the support of all regional state institutions, said Patriarch Porfirije.

Serbian Patriarch receives Mayor of Belgrade

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch, received the Mayor of Belgrade, Professor Dr. Zoran Radojicic at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade, on April 27, 2021-

Serbian Patriarch Porfirije ina cordial conversation with the Mayor of Belgrade emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Serbian Orthodox Church, but also other traditional churches and religious communities, with the city authorities for the benefit of all residents of the capital city.

Serbian Patriarch receives Mayor of Novi Sad

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch received Mr. Milos Vucevic, Mayor of Novi Sad at the Serbian Patriarchate on 27 April 2021.

In a cordial conversation, the Patriarch and the Mayor reviewed the fruitful personal and official cooperation so far, which has always been for the good of the Church and the community. Special attention is paid to the continuation of support to the Humanitarian Fund Privrednik, which helps educate young and gifted students and students whose families are not able to provide them with continuing school and higher education, and which is managed by His Holiness Patriarch.

Patriarch Porfirije attended the service in the chapel of the Faculty of Theology

In the evening hours of April 26, 2021, on Holy Monday, His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch took part in a prayer during the service in the chapel of St. John the Theologian at the Orthodox Theological Faculty of the University of Belgrade.

Patriarch Porfirije: Man cannot draw his life from transcience, but exclusively from communion with God

- To the surprise of all the Messiahs, he came not with trumpets and fanfares but on a modest donkey. Thus, the Lord Christ showed that God created man in his image and likeness as a free being, so that man could freely respond to the infinite love and mercy of God, said Patriarch Porfirije.

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Cathedral Church in Belgrade, on April 25, 2021, on the feast of the Entry of the Lord Jesus Christ into Jerusalem.
