Serbian Patriarch receives Serbian Ambassador to Bulgaria

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch received His Excellency Dr. Zeljko Jovic, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Bulgaria in the Serbian Patriarchate on 12 April 2021.

During the meeting with Ambassador Jovic, Serbian Patriarch Porfirije pointed out that he was glad that the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, led by Patriarch Neophyte, was cultivating good relations with the diplomatic representative of the Republic of Serbia in the Republic of Bulgaria.

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch received Dr. Petar Petkovic, Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade on April 8, 2021.

The Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church listened carefully to the analysis of the situation and issues of key importance for the stay and survival of the Serbian people in the southern Serbian province. Patriarch Porfirije expressed satisfaction with the cooperation of the Serbian Orthodox Church with the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, especially in relation to the support of churches and monasteries that are important for all who live there, because in them priests, monks and nuns pray daily for peace and well-being. people. His Holiness especially emphasized the necessity of keeping peace and that our state should insist on maintaining a dialogue on the principles of law and justice.

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the crypt of the Saint Sava Cathedral in Belgrade on the feast of Annunciation,  7 April 2021.

The Patriarch was concelebrated by Bishop Stefan (Saric) of Remesiana, abbot of the New Gracanica Monastery near Chicago Archimandrite Seraphim (Baltic), Archimandrit Justin (Jeremic) from Paris, protopresbyter-staurophor Radivoj Panic, archpriest Sava (Bundalo) and deacon Radomir Vrucinic.
