Return of the sculpture "Sima Igumanov with orphans"
23. April 2021 - 9:26Patriarch Porfirije: Endowment is one of the greatest virtues of many sons of the Serbian Orthodox people. The Prizren Seminary is maintained with funds provided by the Sima Igumanov Endowment, and 300 pupils and students from Kosovo and Metohija have received scholarships.
- After the erection of the monument to Stefan Nemanja and Despot Stefan Lazarevic, Belgrade welcomed the return of the renewed sculpture "Sima Igumanov with orphans" to the Palace Igumanov. We return to our history, culture and tradition, as well as the memory of our endowments. It is no longer an incident or an attempt, but our policy. Returning the sculpture to where it belongs is proof that Belgrade values its history and culture, the deputy mayor pointed out. Vesic reminded her that the endowments left their wealth to their state, nation and poor children, and that Sima Igumanov was in the lead.
Serbian Patriarch receives the Head of the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Serbia
22. April 2021 - 9:46His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch received His Excellency Jan Braathu, Head of the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Serbia, at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade, on April 19, 2021.
Serbian Patriarch Porfirije during the meeting with Braathu emphasized the importance of interfaith dialogue as a way to achieve and preserve peaceful and harmonious coexistence, pointing out that the Serbian Orthodox Church is always ready to discuss solving problems that are obstacles to peace and cooperation in the region.
Serbian Patriarch receives Ambassador of Belarus

The cordial conversation between Patriarch Porfirije and Ambassador Brilev emphasized the importance of maintaining fraternal relations between Serbs and Belarusians, which have always been decorated with examples of mutual understanding, respect, and solidarity.

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch, the administrator fo the Diocese of Zagreb-Ljubljana served a prayer of supplication in the Cathedral church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Zagreb before the regular annual session of the Diocesan Council.
Serbian Patriarch received Ambassador of Hungary
15. April 2021 - 14:14His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch received His Excellency Atilla Pinter, Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to the Republic of Serbia at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade, on April 14, 2021.
The Serbian Patriarch and the Hungarian ambassador discussed various forms of cooperation between the two neighboring nations and their states. The patriarch informed the representative of Hungary of the principled position that all the rights that the Serbian Church has in the state and society have all the traditional Churches and religious communities. He also pointed out that he has been familiar with Hungarian culture since his early childhood and that there are many sincere friends among Hungarians with whom he cooperates on many issues.
