On that occasion, he referred to the current events in Montenegro on the occasion of his upcoming enthronement in Cetinje:

"I invite you all to the transfiguration to which the Feast of the Transfiguration itself invites us, let us be reborn, to be filled with God's grace and light, God's love, justice and goodness. I call on myself and all of you, Cetinje and the whole of Montenegro as well, to be transformed, to work for the good, so we will welcome the good and see the good, and the good of God, when it is abundant in this nation, will multiply in us. God will grant. Man has that inner urge to create, but very often he has the inner urge to destroy, to ruin and make meaningless, to sink into meaninglessness. Unfortunately, we have that at any time. Here, today in Cetinje, as they say, there will be a large group of those who oppose that the occupier called Metropolitan Joanikije Micovic come to Cetinje, to be enthroned. And they clearly say that they do not recognize me as their metropolitan and that they want to expel me from here. "
