Patriarch Porfirije: There is nothing more perfect than prayer

On 9 August 2021, on the feast of St. Panteleimon, His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch Porfirije celebrated the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy in the church of St. Nicholas of Myra, the Miracle-worker in Donji Milanovac.

Their Graces Bishops Ilarion of Timok, Arsenije of Nis, Kiril of Buenos Aires and South-Central America, Nikodim of Dalmatia and elected Sava of Marca concelebrated in the presence of many faithful people.

On August 8, 2021, His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch, arrived in Kladovo thus beginning his first official visit to the Diocese of Timok.

His Holiness was welcomed at the courtyard of the church of the Holy Great Martyr George in Kladovo by His Grace Bishop Ilarion of Timok along with Their Graces Bishops Arsenije of Nis, Nikodim of Dalmatia and Kiril of Buenos Aires and South-Central America, the clergy, the monastics and the faithful people of the Diocese of Timok.

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch, sent a letter today to His Beatitude Archbishop Ieronymos II of Athens and all of Greece in which he expresses his co-suffering love and support to the Church and the people on the occasion of catastrophic fires in which people have been suffering for days and the property of many Greek families, the Church and the state is disappearing.

Prayerful farewell of the great benefactor of the Church and the people

On the feast of St. Mary Magdalene, with the blessing of His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch, His Grace Bishop Stefan of Remesiana served the funeral service for the newly departed handmaid of the Lord, Mirjana Matović, in the church of St. Nicholas at the New Cemetery.

Mirjana Matović, a native of the vicinity of Cacak, was a retired doctor, the daughter of a priest, a Belgrade medical specialist, a great benefactor and the founder of the Church of Saint Sava, the holder of the Order of Saint Sava. However, this enumeration does not exhaust the numerous virtues that she acquired and inherited. She was also an excellent wife, aunt, friend, and a recognized expert in her profession. Although she was childless, God rewarded her and she was a "grandmother Mira" to many children because, as the real grandmother, for decades she selflessly helped and educated talented and those children who had no one to support them, which was emphasized in a eulogy by her longtime parish priest from Wuppertal, Father Jovan Marić.

Aliquippa Parish Celebrates 107th Annual Patronal Feast

The parish of the Holy Prophet Elijah in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania festively celebrated its 107th parish Slava from July 31 through August 2, 2021. After being forced to celebrate its 106th Slava entirely by remote means last year due to the pandemic, the parish community’s faithful and friends displayed an eagerness in gathering in person once again to pray, give thanks, and enjoy Christian fellowship to celebrate the continued patronage of the Holy Prophet Elijah over the parish and the families and individuals that comprise it.

Five years of the episcopal ministry of Bishop Kiril

Five years ago, July 31st, 2016 at the Cathedral church of the Resurrection of Christ in Podgorica consecration of Bishop Kiril (Bojovic) of Dioclea was performed during the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy.

Kiril (in the world Milan) Bojovic was born in Podgorica on February 4^th, 1969. He completed primary and secondary school at Danilovgrad. After the army service, he enrolled the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in 1988, which he completed in 1992. From 1993 until 2000 he worked as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Natural History and Mathematics in Podgorica.
