Patriarch Porfirije clebrated in the church of the Holy Despot Stefan in Babe

August 2021 - 9:52On Sunday, August 1, 2021, when our Holy Church prayerfully celebrates the Holy Despot Stefan Lazarevic, on the day of the slava of the church, the faithful people of the Kosmaj Deanery, led by their priests, welcomed His Holiness Porfirije, the Serbian Patriarch in the village of Babe.
Together with the first bishop of the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Holy Liturgy was served by Their Graces Bishops Jovan of Sumadija and retired Georgije of Canada, the elected Bishop Sava of Marca , Archimandrites Dositej of the Hilandar and Petar (Dragojlovic), Diocesan Dean of Kosmaj archpriest-staurophor Ljubisa Smiljkovic , archdeacon Ivan Gasic, hierodeacon Vasilije (Starovlah) and deacons Radomir Vrucinic and Dragan Radic.
St. Peter and Paul Serbian Orthodox Church: 110 Year Anniversary
29. July 2021 - 12:43St. Peter & Paul Serbian Church was organized in 1911 on 1634 Kendall Street, South Bend, primarily by immigrants from in and around Lika. The Cornerstone was laid by the Very Rev. Markovich. The Church on Kendall Street was completed in 1912 and the first divine liturgy was served with several priests including the Very Rev. Odzich. A hall was built in 1927 and a home was purchased for the priest and his family in 1940. Our Church School was formed in 1950 by Fr. Klipa. In 1955, Fr. Djuro took over and under his leadership 22 acres of land was purchased with plans for a new church, and a new hall was built in 1962. Our Kum, Milo, for this year’s celebration, helped with the legal matters related to parceling out the land and planning for a new church to be built. On August 28, 1977, our Church on Kendall Street burned, with virtually everything being destroyed save our baptism font, which had to be refurbished. The Cornerstone of our Keria Trail church was laid in 1978 with Consecration occurring in September 1979. Our current priest, Fr. Vladimir and his family moved to our Parish from Hibbing, MN in February 2016.

July 2021 - 11:53Responding with joy to the invitation of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and All Ukraine, His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch, sent his Vicar Bishops Stefan of Remesiana, and Jerotej of Toplica to represent the Serbian Patriarchate in Kiev on July 27 and 28, 2021, at the solemn celebration of the 1033rd anniversary of the Baptism of Russia and the day when the Orthodox Church celebrates the Holy Apostolic Grand Duke Vladimir.
The celebration of this great holiday will begin on July 27 with the traditional act of thanksgiving on Mt. Vladimir in Kiev, which will be officiated by Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and All Ukraine. At the foot of the monument to the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir, miraculous icons of the Most Holy Mother of God will be exhibited: Pochayev, Svyatogorsk, Kasperov and Zimne, icons of the Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir with a particle of his holy relics, as well as many great shrines from all over Ukraine.
Patron Saint-Day of Holy Archangel Gabriel Monastery in Kovilj

In addition to being patron angels, they are also role models in their determination to serve constantly, uninterruptedly, tirelessly the will of God, the love of God, and the Church of God, that is, us people. We need to look up to angels; to try to turn our whole life into a constant service of God.
His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch officiated the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy in the Holy Archangel Gabriel Monastery in Kovilj, on the occasion of the Patron Saint-day of that holy family - the Synaxis of the Holy Archangel Gabriel. The Patriarch was concelebrated by Their Graces Isihije of Valjevo, Jerotej of Toplica, elected Bishops Justin of Hvosno, Sava of Marca, monks, clergy and deacons from many dioceses of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
Orthodox primates congratulated the 60th birthday to Serbian Patriarch Porfirije

July 2021 - 21:01On the occasion of his 60th birthday His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch, received congratulations from Orthodox primates, hierarchs, clergy, Crown Prince Aleksandar Karadjordjevic, representatives of other churches and religious communities, ambassadors, as well as numerous believers from the Homeland and the world.
The Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church does not mark the day of his birth, but, nevertheless, on that occasion, as a sign of attention and love, he received numerous congratulations from the Orthodox world, among which are letters from Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, Patriarch Daniel of Romania, Archbishop Rastislav of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, and Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk.
Bishop Arsenije celebrated the solemn celebration in Prokuplje
23. July 2021 - 19:37His Grace Bishop Arsenije of Nis served on July 21, 2021, when the Church prayerfully celebrates the Holy Greatmartyr Procopius, the Holy Liturgy in the church dedicated to this wonderful saint in Prokuplje.
His Grace Bishop was concelebrated by priests and hieromonks from several dioceses of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The singing of the choir of the Prokuplje church contributed to the beauty of the service.
