Jubilee celebration of Metropolitan Amfilohije

December 2015 - 13:18In the fulfilled crypt of the Cathedral church of the Resurrection of Christ in Podgorica, on 25 December 2015, the solemn spiritual academy dedicated to the 30th anniversary of episcopal ministry and 25th anniversary of archpastoral ministry as Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral Amfilohije was held.
The academy was attended by: envoy of the Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia His Eminence Metropolitan Vikentiy of Tashkent and Uzbekistan, permanent member of the Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church; His Beatitude Jovan, Archbishop of Ohrid and Metropolitan of Skopje; Their Graces Bishops : Jovan of Sumadija, Justin of Zica, Grigorije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina and the Littoral, Teodosije of Raska-Prizren and Kosovo-Metohija, Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic, Atanasije of Bihac-Petrovac, Jovan of Nis, Jovan of Pakrac-Slavonia, Joakim of Polog-Kumanovo, Ilarion of Timok, retired Atanasije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina as well as abbot of the Chilandar monastery Archimandrite Metodije, Ambassador of Serbia to Podgorica Zoran Bingulac, and a number of priests and monks.
Diocese of Zica at the Christmas exhibition in St. Petersburg
25. December 2015 - 15:58With the blessing of His Holiness Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and under auspices of the Metropolitanate of St.Petersburg and His Eminence Metropolitan Varsonufiy, the Christmas exhibition was opened in St. Petersburg on 23 December 2015.
This year, the Diocese of Zica from Serbia was invited as well. With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Justin, representatives of the Diocese of Zica brought to the exhibition an icon of the Most Holy Mother of God Hodegetria which is being posted on the upper part of the altar of the church of the Ascension of the Lord in Cacak (Mother of God of Gradac).
Feast day of Saint Nicholas solemnly celebrated at Bagdala
22. December 2015 - 11:48St. Nicholas of Myra, the Patron Saint-day (slava) of Bishop David of Krusevac, was solemnly celebrated at Bagdala with the Hierarchal Divine Liturgy. Along with the congregation of the faithful, Metropolitan Porfirije of Zagreb-Ljubljana and Bishops Pahomije of Vranje and Jeronim of Jegar celebrated.
On the eve of the feast-day of Saint Nicholas of Myra, on 18 December 2015, His Grace Bishop David of Krusevac along with His Grace Bishop Pahomije of Vranje with the concelebration of protosyncellos Tihon, head of the monastery of the Protection of the Most Holy Mother of God in Mrzenica, protopresbyter-staurophor Ljubivoje Radovic and protodeacon Andrije Jelic, served the festal Vigil service in the church of Saint John the Baptist on Bagdala.

22. December 2015 - 11:33His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, received President of the Circle of Serbian Sisters Mrs. Mila Viktorovic with associates at the Serbian Patriarchate on 21 December 2015.
The same day, His Holiness received Mrs. Margita Lalic Terzic, former Consul of the Republic of Serbia in Pretoria (South African Republic), as well as representatives of Radio Television of Serbia and the Publishing company Prometej.

Purchase of a scanner for Saint Sava Hospital in Belgrade urgent

December 2015 - 14:57With the blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, and with the organization of the Steering Committee of the Patriarchate of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Saint Sava Special Hospital for Cerebrovascular Diseases, andunder the auspices of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia, a humanitarian gathering in the crypt of the Memorial Cathedral of Saint Sava was held on 10 December 2015.
By the number of strokes Serbia is among the leading countries of the world. Nowadays in the world in every twenty minutes one stroke happens, and in every sixty minutes someone dies. The Saint Sava Hospital provides care for about 80 percents of all strokes that occur in a wider territory of Belgrade. In addition to it, this hospital is specialized for treatment of the stroke; every minute counts, and the very first three hours since the stroke have been most important for a patient.
