Sunday of the Life-Giving Cross in Pasjane

On Sunday of the Life-Giving Cross of the Great Lent Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren served the Liturgy in the church of Holy Transfiguration in a village of Pasjane in Kosovsko Pomoravlje. After the recent visit to this village on the occasion of the arrest of six Serbs by the Kosovo police, Bishop Teodosije also this time wanted to encourage the people of this area. About 150 believers participated in the Holy Liturgy. 

Bishop Teodosije visits Priluzje

After the memorial service for the victims of the March pogrom which was served in the church of St. Nicholas in Pristina Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren visited the village of Priluzje in the municipality of Vucitrn. After the visit to the church of the Transfiguration where he was welcomed by lots of people, Bishop Teodosije received from the KFOR Command representative a van for the needs of the villagers which had been promised not long ago by General Biller for the people of  Priluzje.

Sunday of Life-giving Cross in Vranje

On Sunday of the Life-Giving Cross, on March 18, 2012 His Grace Bishop Pahomije of Vranje served the Holy Liturgy in the church of Sts. Apostles Peter and Paul in Bujanovac, and in th evening of the Sunday of the Holy Cross Bishop Pahomije attended the evening service and brought the Holy and Life-Giving Cross to be worshipped by faithful people in the Cathedral church of Holy Trinity in Vranje.

Clergy confession of the Episcopal Deanery of Belgrade I

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch served the Divine Liturgy of the Presantified Gifts in Belgrade's church of the Ascension of the Lord. On this occasion the clergy confession of the Episcopal Deanery of Belgrade I was performed. There was a brotherly meeting where His Holiness listened to problems of the clergy. Serbian Patriarch Irinej sent words of moral which encouraged and inspired  spiritual shepherds of the Serbian capital.

An olive tree as a sign of town twinning between Vranje and Trikala

His Grace Bishop Pahomije of Vranje attended a solemn signing of the Twinning Agreement between the town of Vranje and the town of Trikala (Greece), which was signed by mayors Mr. Miroljub Stojcic and Mr. Hristos Lapas, on March 19, 2012 in the great hall of the Town Hall of Vranje.

Lenten Vespers on the Sunday of the Holy Cross in Merryllville

"Before Thy Cross we bow down in worship, O Master,
and Thy holy Resurrection we glorify."

The spiritual echo of these beautiful words resounded in the souls of the faithful people of God who gathered with their priests at the St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, around their Bishop to celebrate the third Sunday of Lent, the Sunday of the Adoration of the Holy Cross. This beautiful prayerful celebration was, with the blessings of His Grace Bishop Longin, led by V. Rev. Stavrophor Nedeljko Lunich. Afterward the bishop, clergy and faithful people, making prostrations, venerated the Holy Cross.
