A new Cathedral church, as a reflection and the seal of strength of faith of the Orthodox Serbian people, is being constructed by goodness of the faithful citizens of this city, Bishop Vasilije of Zvornik-Tuzla once said.

The future Cathedral church with its look and size, will represent a monumental edifice in the city on the left bank of the Drina. It will have two belfries of 55 meters each, as well as five domes of which the central one will be 33 meters high, which is a symbol of spent years of Jesus Christ on the Earth.

Bishop Vasilije on August 8, on the Day of the municipality of Zvornik, consecrated the Precious Cross and the land for the construction of the church which will be devoted to the Nativity of Most Holy Theotokos.
