Their Eminences Bishops Fotije of Zvornik and Tuzla and Heruvim of Osek-Polje and Baranja celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of the Translation of relics of Saint Nicholas in Vukovar on 15 December 2019.

The Bishop was concelebrated by local clergy. The Liturgical celebration was enhanced with chanting of the choir Saint Roman Melod from Brcko.

The reception took place at the Patriarchate Palace on December 16, 2019.

Mufti Dr. Mevlud ef. Dudic thanked the Serbian Patriarch for the reception when they discussed current challenges facing Orthodox and Muslim believers in the country, region and the world, as well as some opportunities to overcome them.

Pastoral care for prisoners in Lepoglava and Remetinec

The prisoners expressed their deep gratitude to Metropolitan Porfirije for his pastoral care and love for them.

His Eminence Metropolitan Porfirije of Zagreb and Ljubljana, accompanied by presbyter Radovan Dimitric and deacon Ugljesa Pilinger, visited Serbs and оther Orthodox prisoners serving prison sentences in the Croatian prisons of Lepoglava and Remetinec on December 10 and 11, 2019.

Patron Saint-day of the Karadjordjevica Family

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, officiated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy on December 13, 2019, on the Feast of St. Andrew the First-Called - the Patron Saint-day (slava) of the Royal family Karadjordjevic, at the Beli dvor in Belgrade.

The Serbian Patriarch was concelebrated by protopresbyter-staurophors Branko Mitrovic and Bozo Bakajlic, protodeacon Damjan Bozic and deacon Vladimir Rumenic, in a prayerful presence of Their Graces Bishops: Lavrentije of Sabac, Jovan of Sumadija, Atanasije of Mileseva, Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic and Isihije of Mohacs.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, hosted a reception for principals of elementary and secondary schools in the territory of the Archdiocese of Belgrade-Karlovac, at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade on 12 December 2019.

The festive reception began with Lord's Prayer sung by a choir of students from the Faculty of Theology of the University of Belgrade, whereupon the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church held a welcome speech.

Religious school textbooks for visually impaired children

In cooperation with the Religious Education Committee of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Republika Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the JU Special Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired of the Republika Srpska has issued audio textbooks for religious instructions for primary schools.

The textbooks, made in digital technics in mp3 format, are intended for the primary school children of impaired vision - blind and partially sighted children.
