The life of St. Mardarije of Libertyville

Born in village of Kornet, Ljesani County, in Montenegro, on November 2, 1889, to pious parents Petar and Jela Uskokovic, he was baptized in his village church dedicated to St. George and received his baptismal name Ivan.

His mother was from the well-known Bozovic family. Both of his parents were well respected in their community holding the office of leadership and particularly his father was a captain of their clan.

Hierarchal Liturgy in the monastery of Milesheva

His Grace Joanikije, Bishop of Budimlje-Niksic and the Administrator of Milesheva, celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy at the Milesheva monastery on 5 July 2017.

The Bishop was concelebrated by clergy and monks of the Diocese of Milesheva with a prayerful participation of the faithful. Director of the Bureau for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities of the Republic of Serbia PhD Mileta Radojevic attended the Liturgy at the suggestion of His Grace Bishop Joanikije, Mr. Radojevic payed ian officisl visit to this Diocese.

His Holiness the Patriarch of the Serbian Irinej celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Gracanica Monastery on June 28, 2017, on the Vidovdan feast-day.

The Serbian Patriarch Irinej was concelebrated by His Grace Bishop Theodosije of Raska-Prizren and His Grace Atanasije,  retired  Bishop of Zaholm-Herzegovina, with the clergy and monastics of the Diocese of Raska-Prizren. With participation of a large number of faithful from all over Serbia, the Republic of Srpska and Montenegro, the Holy Liturgy was attended by the Crown Prince Alexander Karadjordjevic and Princess Katarina, Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohia Marko Djuric, representatives of the  Office for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities at the Ministry of Justice of Serbia and numerous representatives of Serbs from Kosovo and Metohia.
