Primates of the Serbian and Russian Orthodox Churches meet

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia met with the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej, at the Patriarchal Synodal residence in the St. Daniel stauropegiаl Monastery in Moscow on 29 January 2019.

The audience was attended by the delegation of the Serbian Orthodox Church: Bishop Irinej of Backa, Bishop Antonije of Moravica - head of the Representation of the Serbian Orthodox Church at the Moscow Patriarchate, Bishop Stefan of Remesiana - Vicar Bishop of the Serbian Patrisrch, Bishop Isihije of Moravica – Vicar Bishop of the Bishop of Backa, archpriest Vladan Simic - Secretary of the Bishop of Backa, and hypodeacon Dejan Nakic - personal secretary of the Serbian Patriarch.

The delegation accompanying His Beatitude consists of Archbishop George of Michalovce and Koshice, Archbishop Michail of Prague, Archimandrite Seraphim (Shemyatovsky), rector of the metochion of the Orthodox Church of the Czezh Lands and Slovakia in Moscow, Archpriest Nikolai Lischenyuk, rector of the metochion of the Russian Orthodox Church in Karlovy Vary, Hieromonk Aleksandr (Galushko), secretary of the metochion of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia in Moscow, and archdeacon Maksim (Durila), a cleric of the diocese of Prešov.

Primate of the Orthodox Church in America arrives in Moscow

His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon of All America and Canada arrived in Moscow on January 30, 2019. Meeting His Beatitude at Sheremetyevo airport were Metropolitan Ignaty of Vologda and Kirillov, Bishop Matfei of Sourozh, Archpriest Igor Yakimchuk, DECR secretary for inter-Orthodox relations, and Mr. Dmitry Petrovsky, a DECR staff member.
