Patron’s Saint-day of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Foca
16. May 2019 - 11:31The Faculty of Orthodox Theology of the University in East Sarajevo celebrated the feast day of Saint Basil of Ostrog, the patron saint of this high educational institution of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
The celebration of Saint Basil began with the Holy Liturgy celebrated by Metropolitan Hrizostom of Dabar-Bosna with the concelebration of the principal of the Stanjevic monastery Archimandrite Jefrem, protopresbyter-stavrophor Dr. Dragomir Sando (envoy of the dean of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology of the University in Belgrade), Professor Dr. Vladislav Topalovic (dean of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology of the University in East Sarajevo), Milutin Andric (spiritual father of the Faculty) and of other priests in Foca’s church of Saint Sava.

The conversations dealt with mostly Kosovo and Metohija, when it was stated that the situation was very difficult in that southern Serbian province and that, given some circumstances, it is uncertain what a solution to the issue will be.
Thousands of faithful participating in the procession in honor of St. Basil of Ostrog

May 2019 - 10:45By a festal procession, performed on the feast-day of St. Basil of Ostrog the Miracle-Worker, along the streets Niksic on the 12th of May, 2019, this holy hierarch, celestial protector of that city and its inhabitants, was specially celebrated. The procession was organized because a magnificent church in this city is dedicated to him.
The procession of the faithful people, starting at 18:00 o’clock in front of the St. Basil Cathedral, led by hierarchs of our Holy Orthodox Church, with a participation of numerous clergy, monastics and a huge number of faithful passed through the city center, stopping in several places where portions of the Gospel were read and prayers offered to Christ the Lord. The faithful people and esteemed guests were greeted by the diocesan Bishop of Budimlje-Niksic Joanikije on the city square.
A triumphant celebration of St. Basil of Ostrog in Prijepolje

May 2019 - 10:42By the prayerful intercession of the great lumen of the Church, St. Basil of Ostrog the Wonderworker, a great crowd of people gathered from all over the Diocese of Mileseva and from other areas, on the patron saint of the Cathedral in Prijepolje, i.e. the day of his celebration on May 12, 2019.
The Divine Liturgy was officiated by His Grace Dr. Mitrofan, Bishop of the Diocese of Canada, along with the participation of the Diocesan Bishop of Mileseva Atanasije; dean of Priboj Archpriest-Stavrophor Dragan Vidakovic; Director of the Radio Mileseva, Archpriest-Staurophor Marko Papic; dean of Nova Varos, Archpriest Stanko Blagojevic; abbot of the Dormition monastery at Seljane, hieromonk Petar; abbot of the monastery of Holy Archangels at Djurdjevica Tara, hieromonk Zosim; principal of the Church of St. Nikolaj of Ohrid and Žiča at Kolovrat, priest Nebojša Jovanović, as well as of two deacons.
Central Church body for completion of the Memorial Church of St. Sava
12. May 2019 - 18:57A regular annual session of the Central Church Body for completion of the Memorial Church of St. Sava in the Vracar District of Belgrade was held in the premises of that church on May 11, 2019 (photo gallery).
After an address of His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej, a chairman of the Committee for completion of the construction and interior decoration of the Memorial Church of St. Sava, principal of the Church and Vicar Bishop of the Serbian Patriarch, His Eminence Bishop Stefan of Remesiana, submitted a report on the activities in the Church, while the report on works on the mosaic decoration was presented by Mr. Nikolai Muhin, head of the artists team and manager of works.
Conclusions: Freedom of Religion or Belief in Montenegro

May 2019 - 10:24The participants of the international academic conference “Freedom of Religion or Belief in Montenegro“ have carefully examined and considered the drafting process and current material content of the draft “Law on Freedom of Religion”[1], first proposed by the Government of Montenegro on 30 July 2015.
On the basis of these deliberations and convinced, that freedom is endowed on the human person not only as a secular right, but also as an eternal gift from God, and as such integral to human nature, they agreed to emphasize the following:
