Hierarchal Divine Liturgy in Frankfurt
17. February 2014 - 13:42On the feast-day of Holy Three Hierarchs Serbian Patriarch Irinej celebrated in the church of the Resurrection of Christ in Frankfurt, Germany.
Lots of people from Frankfurt and surrounding areas attended the Hierarchal Divine Liturgy, which began at 9 a.m. His Holiness was concelebrated by archpriests Marko Jovanovic and Stojan Barjaktarevic, parish priests from Frankfurt; archpriest Bratislav Bozovic, parish priest of Stuttgart; protopriest Milenko Markovic, episcopal dean for South Africa; Simon Turkic, principal of the church in Frankfurt; Sinisa Vujasinovc from Osnabrueck.
Brisbane hosted its first Ana and Vlade Divac Humanitarian Foundation cocktail evening fundraiser
15. February 2014 - 21:42International Basketball star Vlade Divac was back in Australia to raise money for his humanitarian projects as part of the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation.
For the first time this Cocktail Fundraiser was held in Brisbane on Thursday, 30 January at the FireWorks Gallery in conjunction with Theme and Variations Piano Services and 'balkanbeatsbrisbane'. This fundraiser, as all such humanitarian endeavours held on behalf of the Divan Foundation, will enable better living conditions for the refugee families and internally displaced people in Serbia. 'Collective Centres' were established 20 years ago as a safe alternative to a war zone but now in 2014 the living conditions are no longer considered acceptable and funds raised will provide housing for the remaining 143 (out of 515) families still in these centres.
Saint Sava Celebration in Youngwood

The yearly Slava of St. Sava was celebrated for the 102nd time at Holy Ascension of Our Lord Serbian Orthodox Church on Sunday, February 2, 2014.
Honored Kumovi were George and Angela Dietz, the loving parents of two beautiful Orthodox Christian children, George and Elizabeth Deitz. On this special day, young George assisted Fr. Milan Medakovic by serving as an altar boy, and both children, along with their cousin Adam Kerber, delighted in the blessing and turning of the Slavski Kolac.
Bishop Maxim served for the Holy Three Hierarchs in Ostrog Monastery
14. February 2014 - 14:18On Wednesday, February 12, 2014, the Divine Liturgy was served at Monastery Ostrog in celebration of the Feasat of the Three Hierarchs.
The Divine Lituryg was served by His Eminence, Metropolitan Amfilohije, His Grace, Bishop Maxim, clergy and the faithful.

Bishop Maxim in Tvrdos Monastery
14. February 2014 - 14:16At the conclusion of the 2014 Diocesan Days celebration the Divine Liturgy was served at Monastery Tvrdoš, where the transfer of the relics of Sv. Ignatius the God-Bearer took place. His Grace,Bishop Maxim of Western America, celebrated the Divine Litury with His Grace, Bishop Gregory, Abbot Tvrdoškog Save, and other priests of the diocese and in the presence of Bishop Athanasius, and of numerous faithful people.
For everyone present, the brotherhood of Monastery Tvrdoš prepared a festive banquet table.
St. Sava Celebration in Cincinnati

February 2014 - 9:44As I was gathering my thoughts and reflections over today’s events of the celebration of Saint Sava, the Serbian prince, Orthodox monk, and first Archbishop of the autocephalous Serbian Church, I stopped to ask myself, “How can it be that such a small Orthodox parish here in America can be so successful, alive, and growing?”. I decided to inquire with our spiritual father of the parish, Father Petar Petrović to see his thoughts and feelings on the subject.
