Extraordinary communique of the Holy Assembly of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church
29. April 2010 - 22:33On its afternoon session of April 29 of this year, the Holy Assembly of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church unanimously adopted recommendations of the competent diocesan bishops and entered into dyptichs of the saints of the Orthodox Church names of the blessed repose of archimandrite Justin Popovic, geront of the monastery Celije near Valjevo (1894-1979), from now Venerable Justin of Celije, and Simeon Popovic , prior of the monastery Dajbabe near Podgorica (1854-1941), from now Venerable Simeon of Dajbabe.
Liturgical memory of Venerable Justin will be celebrated on June 1, according to the Julian calendar (June 14, according to the Gregorian calendar), a memory of Venerable Simeon will be celebrated on March 19 according to the Julian calendar (April 1, after the Gregorian calendar).
New petition of self-praised rebelous monks, supporters of parasinagogue "Artemijevci"

April 2010 - 22:40On the website of the renegade in schism Crna Reka Monastery - as well as on the false "website of the Diocese of Raška and Prizren" and, as usual, in some of the mass media - the text of a new "petition to the Holy Assembly of Bishops" has appeared, which does not mention the previous petition, written by the same rebel monks (but in a much more reckless and anti-church manner, which has now been somewhat ameliorated), where, at the end, they refer to the alleged signatures of "one hundred and five monks and nuns from fourteen monasteries", while the petition itself includes mostly signatures of male and female novices.

April 2010 - 23:20For days a group of monks of the Diocese of Raska and Prizren, which do not recognize the religious order and the decision of the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church on February 13, 2010. and who are placed under the canonical prohibition, together with some like-minded, and led by monk Antonije Davidovic of Black River, against whom is run the religious and legal process, distrubute throughout cities in Serbia and in some monasteries an article titled Appeal of the clergy, monks and faithful church people to the Sacred Church Council of the SOC and collect signatures of support.

Telegram of condolences of Patriarch of Serbia regarding the tragedy in Moscow
1. April 2010 - 10:58His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia sent telegrams of condolences to His Holiness Patriarch Kyrril of Moscow and all Russia and Mr. Dmitry Medvedev, the President of the Russian Federation on the occasion of a severe tragedy in Moscow. Patriarch pointed out in a letter that he sympathize with pain of the families of the killed and the Russian people the sincerely caused by the explosion in the subway, with many human casualties.
