Youngwood Kolo celebrates 81st Slava

Holy Ascension Serbian Orthodox Church of Youngwood, Pennsylvania, joyfully celebrated 81 years of devoted service and dedication given by its Kolo Srpskih Sestara Vavedenje on Sunday, December 5, 2010. On this special day, all the living women of the Kolo were honored, and departed members were remembered with great respect and heartfelt thanksgiving for their never-ending love, dedication, and hard work.

Patron Saint's Day of Royal family of Karageorgevich

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Princess Katherine celebrated yesterday the the Royal Family Patron Saint Day of Saint Andrew the First Called in the Royal Palace in Belgrade. In the Royal chapel of St. Andrew the First Called the Divine Liturgy was served by His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch with the concelebration of His Grace Bishop Jovan of Sumadija and priests of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

His Eminence Amfilohije, Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral served yesterday the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral church of the Ressurection of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Podgorica. After the Liturgy in the crypt of the church a monograph about Patriarch Gavrilo Dozic "We live in sanctity and freedom" by the author monk Pavle (Dozic)was presented. 

Patriarch Irinej serves in the church of St. Basil on Banjica

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch served on Sunday, December 12, 2010 the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of St. Basil of Ostrog on Banjica. His Grace Vicar Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno served the Divine Liturgy in the monastery of the Entry of the Most Holy Theotokos into the Temple (Vavedenje) on Senjak.

On December 4/21, on a feast day of The Entry of the Most Holy Theotokos into the Temple , His Grace Bishop Milutin of Valjevo, with a blessing of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, went with brothers to the great Laura of the Serbian Orthodox Church, the monastery of Hilandar, in order to celebrate together with the abbot and the brotherhood of the monastery, the feast day of this Holy Family, and and in some miraculous way also the whole Mount Athos./photo gallery/
