St. Nicholas Day in Djurdjevi Stupovi

On a feast day of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker Archbishop of Myra, His Grace Bishop Joanikije of Budimlje and Niksic served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy at monastery of Djurdjevi Stupovi near Berane.

HRH Prince Mihailo celebrates Family Patron Saint in Mona Vale

On Sunday, 13 December 2009 at the Pro-Cathedral of St Sava His Grace Bishop Irinej celebrated the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy in commemoration of the Feast of St Andrew the First Called. For the very first time HRH Prince Mihailo Karadjordjevic celebrated his family Slava at our Parish which his late father +HRH Prince Tomislav visited back in 1991. During the liturgy, His Grace Irinej spoke of the life of St Andrew who was the first-called of the Apostles and was crucified for Christ on a cross in the shape of an "X". St Andrew the First-called is also the Patron Saint of Constantinople Patriarchate in addition to the Royal House of Karadjordjevic.

Construction of monastery of Sts. Cosmas and Damian on Zlatar

With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Filaret of Mileseva  the construction of the monastery complex began on Zlatar. Besides the church which is dedicated to Holy Unmercenary Physicians Cosmas and Damian  the refectory is also buing built with an area of 700m2, which will serve for the life of monks. The monastery will be a gem of Zlatar which is already known throughout the world for its beauty. The planned consecration of the monastery will be held on the Patron Saint's day on July 14, 2010. His Grace Bishop Irinej visits St Michael’s Homebush (Sydney)

On this day we experienced the brotherly communal spirit between two dioceses. A defining moment for the humble contemporary community of the Australian Orthodox Fraternity of St. Michael (OCA), as the Archpastor of the Serbian Orthodox Dioceses in Australia and New Zealand His Grace Bishop Irinej, with the blessings of His Beatitude Metropolitan Jonah, celebrated the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy for its parishioners. Originally, His Grace was to have served for the parish feast of the Holy Archangel Michael, however, due to the unanticipated need to be in Belgrade for the funeral of His Holiness Patriarch Pavle, His Grace rescheduled the visitation for the first available Sunday thereafter.

Jubilee in Osnabrück

The Serbian Orthodox Church community in Osnabrück (Northwest Germany) is celebrating on Saturday December 12, 2009 two anniversaries: 65 years since the foundation and 50 years since the official registration. On this occasion Diocesan bishop, His Grace Bishop Konstantin of Middle Europe will visit Osnabrück and at the local church of St. George The Great Martyr will serve the Holy Hierarchal  Liturgy at 10 am.

First ever Pan-orthodox clergy retreat in the West

In April of 2007, His Grace, Bishop JOSEPH invited His Eminence, Metropolitan GERASIMOS, His Grace, Bishop MAXIM and His Grace, Bishop BENJAMIN for the First Ever Meeting of the Canonical Hierarchs on the West Coast. During that meeting, the Hierarchs had a vision of gathering the clergy from the different jurisdictions in a retreat to get to know each other and work toward bringing unity among the Orthodox Christians in the West.
