Metropolitan Porfirije on a two-day visit to Athens
10. March 2016 - 15:38His Eminence Metropolitan Dr. Porfirije of Zagreb-Ljubljana visited the Greek Orthodox Church from 27-28 February 2016. On this occasion he participated in the symposium which was organized by the church of Saint Parascheva.
The symposium titled “Love and marriage” was held on 27 February 2016. Besides His Eminence Metropolitan Porfirije, His Eminence Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Chalkis, retired professor of the University of Athens protopresbyter George Metalinos as well as other eminent lecturers participated in the work of the symposium.

On Monday, 7 March 2016, His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, visited, with his entourage, the Anglican Cathedral church in Melbourne. On behalf of His Grace Archbishop of Melbourne Philip Freier, the highest delegation of the Serbian Orthodox Church was welcomed by Dean of Melbourne, Very Revd. Dr. Andreas Loewe. In a cordial conversation, they reminded of mutual cooperation and fraternal relations promoted between the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Church of England, particularly during the time of Bishop Nikolaj Velimirovic.
Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte pays an official visit to Moscow

March 2016 - 14:37His Beatitude Neophyte, Patriarch of Bulgaria, is currently paying an official visit to Moscow, upon the invitation of the Russian Patriarch Kirill and of professor Valery Arkadyevich Alekseyev, president of the International Foundation for the Unity of the Orthodox Peoples, according to the official website of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.
The purpose of this five-days visit (from 7 to 13 March 2016) is the giving out of the 2015 annual award offered by the International Foundation for the Unity of the Orthodox Peoples to Patriarch Neophyte for “his contribution to the unity of Orthodox peoples and the promotion of Christian moral values in society”.
Serbian Patriarch consecrated the church of Holy Trinity in Brunswick East
7. March 2016 - 15:59On Meatfare Sunday, on 6 March 2016, His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, consecrated the church of Holy Trinity in Brunswick East with the concelebration of His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral and Their Graces Bishops Longin and Irinej.
The solemn service was attended by a great number of pious parishioners who had given immeasurable contribution to the renovation and decoration of this church, that had been purchased in the 1970s from the Anglican Church. At the end of the Divine Liturgy, His Holiness handed in high medals of the Serbian Orthodox Church and gramatas (gratitude awards) to the most deserving and most committed parishioners, who by their donations and personal endeavors had given an example how to serve their neighbors and participate in liturgical life of the Church.

March 2016 - 15:06Parishioners of the Serbian Saint George’s in Saint Albans gathered 10.000 Australian dollars for the Church kitchen in Belgrade and for the youth on Kosovo and Metohija. - Patriarchal visit to the monastery of Saint Sava in Elaine as well as to a Greek monastery and Serbian and Russian churches in Geelong. - Local celebration of Venerable Elder Nikanor of Chilandar.
His Holiness Irinej was solemnly welcomed at the airport in Melbourn on 1 March 2016, where he was greeted by Bishop Irinej of the Metropolitanate of Australia and New Zealand in the presence of the clergy and the faithful, as well by high representatives of other Local Churches and members of the diplomatic corps of our country in Melbourn.
