With the blessing of His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej, under the auspices of the Diocese of Britain-Scandinavia and the dedication of the competent Bishop His Grace Dositej, the new parish of Saint Basil of Ostrog in East London began to function on 6 February 2016.

With the Holy Liturgy on the feast-day of Venerable Xenia of St. Petersburg the new Orthodox-Christian mission in Great Britain began to work. Besides the current parish and church of Saint Sava, multibillion London and 40.000 Serbians got a new altar of the Orthodox faith, dedicated to the great Saint of the universal Orthodoxy, Saint Basil of Ostrog the Miracle-worker, and another Serbian church-school congregation to the benefit of our compatriots and all the other Orthodox faithful.

On the Feast of St. Gregory the Theologian, with the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of our Lord, the third annual conference - "Theology in the public sphere" is completed.

Holy Hierarchical Liturgy was served by His Beatitude Jovan the Archbishop of Ochrid and Metropolitan of Skopje with concelebration of Bishop Maxim of Western America, Bishop Grigorije of Herzegovina and the Littoral and retired Bishop Atanasije. Holy Liturgy was attended by a large number of clergy from the Diocese of Herzegovina and the Littoral and the Metropoly of Dabar-Bosnia, as well as many guests from other Dioceses. Bishop Grigorije ordained Deacon Vuk Milisic to the rank of presbyter. After the reading of the Holy Gospel, Bishop Maxim addressed a large number of faithful with a sermon about the Good Shepherd.

Serbian Patriarch Irinej I to visit the Metropolitanate of Australia and New Zealand

With exceeding great joy we herein announce that, at the invitation of His Grace Bishop Irinej of the Metropolitanate of Australia and New Zealand, His Holiness the Archbishop of Pech, Metropolitan of Belgrade-Karlovci and Serbian Patriarch Kyr Irinej will visit the Metropolitanate of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the Fifth Continent from 2nd to 13th March 2016.

The Episcopal Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of Oceania, sponsored the Annual Opening of the Legal Year for 2016 with a Pan-Orthodox Prayer Service – Doxology held at St Eustathios Greek Orthodox Church in South Melbourne on Monday morning, 1 February 2016.

Many notable participants: hierarchs, clergy and laity, legal professionals from the Orthodox community, were present to receive the dignitaries from the judiciary, including distinguished Supreme Court justices, and offer prayers for beginning of the new Legal Year.
