Delegation of pilgrims from North American Archdiocese of Antioch on a visit to St. Petersburg

On May 19, 2019, the fourth Sunday after Pascha, Metropolitan Varsonofy of St. Petersburg and Ladoga celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in the St. Alexander Nevsky Laura. Among his concelebrants were the head of the Archdiocese of Antioch in North America, Archbishop Joseph of New York and Metropolitan of All North America, who came to the northern capital city with a group of pilgrims; Metropolitan Niphon of Philippople, representative of the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia; Bishop Nazary of Kronstadt, rector of the laura, and its brethren; Archpriest Sergiy Kuksevich, secretary of the diocesan administration and other clergy.

Festive vesper of Sts. Constantine and Helen

With great brilliance today, Monday, May 20, the Great Festive Vesper of Saints Constantine and Helen was celebrated at the homonymous church in Kolonos.

Bishop Chrysostomos of Evripos officiated at the vesper, accompanied by the Head of the church, Archimandrite Isidoros Bairaktaris, the other priests of the temple and clergy of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens.

Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev celebrates Liturgy in the Lord’s Tomb

On Sunday, May 12, the Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir reposed in the Lord, at the age of 98. The funeral and the burial of the late Maronite Patriarch took place on Thursday, May 16, 2019, in the Church of the Maronite Patriarchate of Bkerké in Lebanon.

Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria and All Africa arrived at Dar es Salaam, accompanied by Archim.
